Quick fun fact that gets by everyone. There's an old SNK fighting game before Art of Fighting or Fatal Fury. You could pick from two characters. A japanese fighter and an american. The Japanese guy was called Karate, and this was actually a young and brash Takuma. This is a piece of SNK lore that's even forgotten by several SNK staff themselves. You won't find this information even on most wiki pages and so forth, but the reality of it is blatantly obvious when you play that first game and go into playing Art of Fighting and meet up against Takuma's persona and then including a mask due to the less than stellar involvement in the underground activities. .
