Lovely vlog and interesting, I think as sewers we ALL have made fabric choices that we decide not to buy again… after decades of sewing i bought the springiest of ribbed fabric, beautiful to sew. Looks fab… BUT my supposedly straight hem of the monroe mock turtle… (I’ve made loads of them) looks absolutely dreadful. I have tried three times using all sorts of methods and it hangs now looking reproachfully at me with its frilly hem. At least now you’ve learnt what not to buy again. Great vlog and thank you for sharing.

Hi Debra. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience with the ribbed fabric. I’ve not used that type before or made the monroe. Will have to try that pattern. I’m definitely improving my fabric choices although I’m trying not to buy any at the moment. As a relatively new sewist, there are lots of things to learn and improve on! 👍😀
