Is it easy or nah I’m about to get a job doing this kind of stuff
@rwvisuals3 жыл бұрын
@@brockrohn360 There is nothing easy about this job. Long hours of strenuous lifting. Coming from a "sub contractor " aka 3rd party bitch doesn't make it any better. They always want you to go above and beyond, while corporate is sitting at home eating dinner with their families.. you are still out satisfying customers needs and being looked down upon because sometimes things don't go their way. It's not always bad but most days are exhausting and you never have time for anything.. depending on what company you work for and the way you're being routed. I've been to some places of I've never seen, which was cool. Being based out of Pittston, PA, we sometimes go up to NY and the more northern part of Pennsylvania. You also run into other dilemmas such as peoples nasty homes, that are not sanitary. Hoarders, slobs, and some who just don't care about their living situation. Especially the ones who have houses that reek of cat / dog piss & shit or never clean up. (Not everyday but I could go my whole life without having to smell, touch, hear, & see some of the shit i did.) You have good days where people will tip you well. I've even made some side money moving a treadmill or an old appliance for customers and been compensated for it. It isn't common but every once in a while you get lucky. You do learn things, you never knew before related and unrelated. I personally can't stand the thought of waking up in the morning, not knowing how the day is going to consist because with this job, it's never the same. The worst part of it for me, is overworking your body, not having time for family or a personal life. Never knowing what time you'll be done . This is my personal experience so don't judge off it. For me though, there's a fine line between hard work & bullshit work.

@jackelrush30863 жыл бұрын
Nah they coffin it wrong this is all the weight on the poor guy. How you really do it is the guy on the stairs loosens his strap and leans the fridge towards him then the guy on the bottom bends down and gets his strap under the fridge so you don’t damage it aka kinda like the bottom where the hole is then they stand up and it looks like a freezer and then the guy at the top leans back creating tension. This is crazy painful to watch way to much weight on the bottom guy and because the tops guys leaning towards the fridge it’s even more weight
@JordonRenn933 жыл бұрын
I own a Delivery business and been doin it my way for 2 years. We only lay them down if absolutely necessary so we can get the unit powered up right away. Both are acceptable ways but me and my crew just do it that way.

THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO DO IT. Once we get to the stairs we would tilt the fridge toward the guy going up backwards and let the bottom guy tighten his strap, so as the guy going up backwards makes the fridge more vertical with each step he takes until the guy on the bottom starts walking up the stairs the fridge should then be vertical and easier with equal weight distribution and not on one person as seen on the video. If you have a better way please tell me and don't say coffining it up the stairs.

If someone slips on the steps with those straps ur both fucked. With a dolly you can atleast hold it in place if you slip as long as you don't let go. Infact you can even get back up and continue the climb. Worst case you tell the guy at bottom to move out the way and just let it slide down steps, and it might even be in damaged. But even if it is no one is hurt. I'm talking about hand truck/dolly with straps BTW. Talking from experience.

Something depends on the quality of your dolly. Mine is a cheapest with hard wheels. Something with soft rubber tires and more easy handle steps. If I were trying to go upstairs with a dolly I think I would attach a come-along braced across the head of the stairs as a safety and to help up the steps. Otherwise, if you get tired half way up you are screwed.
