As someone who’s playing Elden ring for the first time and is failing horribly (only just beat Godrick at 57 lol), hearing him say half the bosses and mini-bosses were easy and simple hurts and proves how far I have to go, but I also remembered whilst typing this the Greyoll farm so imma do that lol. Update: I’m on NG+4 and I’m clapping these bosses, now I see how it feels to be a streamer. Also, Solaire Build Fr Fr.

Good mentality. Overleveling in your first playthrough is pretty normal, especially if you're not familiar with the series. Exploring carefully and clearing out areas to the best of your ability also will give more runes than rushing

Don't worry dude, I just started ER again two months ago, it used to hurt hearing people call bosses easy that I struggled with too; now I'm one of those people ^.^ i bought the game at release, then ragequit for a year over margit. Nobody starts off good at these games, practice is what gets you there :) just don't give up! It's really worth it; I haven't loved a game like I do ER since Bioshock and Skyrim. Now it's literally all I play.

If this is your first FromSoftware game, they can be hard to get used to. FromSW also made bloodborne, sekiro, dark souls, etc., and all of their games are basically like this. I would recommend getting good at parrying and dodging, if you can get that down this game becomes 100x easier.

Fun fact, as a faith strength dex build, the mimic tear has no fp restrictions. Switch to your talisman with all your strongest incantations equipped, summon, and then switch off to your weapon of choice. I beat Melania relatively easily this way. Endless lightning everywhere

⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@agssilv5919dex was because I wanted to use bleed and katanas, strength for armor and great shields, faith for incantations. Just a personal preference for that makeup. (It was also my second soul game, and my first was pure strength and endurance so I changed it up) The mimic tear strategy is just to stack your strongest incantations and let him fly. I used it for Melania, and maybe one other boss. But the key point is it has unlimited FP and can run essentially infinite incantations. Like ice lighting, placiduax, godslayer fire, etc. These super strong ones also have a ton of stagger, which was key to keeping Melania off her feet during the fight. I was able to beat her in less than 10 tries with this strat from the outright. Plus then you don’t have to worry about switching to your seal to cast long casting time spells and can keep your sword and shield up

Just one little thing I noticed: The fire pillar spell you used (the one that one shot Gurranq) is actually not Fire's Deadly Sin, it's Burn, O Flame. Fire's Deadly Sin sets you on fire and does a tiny amount of chip damage to enemies you're close to, and also to yourself. Also, great video!

14:00 Last time I fought Rykard I noticed that the first hit of the Serpent Hunter AoW would stun him, and when he gets to a certain amount of HP he will only try to cast his Rancor spell. You can stunlock him for the entire fight this way, preventing him from casting his spell as long as you're in range to hit him with the first hit of AoW! Honestly turns him into the victim, not you.

Fair enough, but you can also put blessing of the erdtree and erdtree heal on your spell bar then summon a mimic that only has blasphemous blade and a seal equipped (edit, you can give him armor, obviously). He'll solo any content in the game if the mimic and weapons are upgraded.

For Rykard's fight, just grab the serpent hunter and don't go any further, and then teleport to the roundtable hold to upgrade it. I've done it three times and it's always let me. Use the winged sword insignia and (if you're an evil evil person) Millicent's prosthesis. You'll do insane damage.

PSA : erdtree seal is better only after investing 60+ points into faith before that godslayers seal is better and if you have good points into int and fai both golden order seal is better. With +10 erdtree seal at 80 faith you get 353 scaling. I am using golden order seal with 75 fai and 40 int with 353 scaling.
