@paulastiles55076 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, it's always been normalized to a certain extent. I've got alll of the popcorn and mojitos for when Charles abdicates/passes - not for what Harry and Meghan will do or (as the Firm stans blissfully think) William will do to Harry and Meghan, but for how fast William will kick Camilla and her kids out the door and change the locks. Diana was his mom, too, and he only needs to be nice to the Royal Sidepiece until he's King.
@jaakkomantyjarvi75156 ай бұрын
@@paulastiles5507 Whatever happens will happen behind tightly closed doors, because on Charles's death Camilla becomes the Queen Dowager, and that's not a person that you can kick around any old way, particularly since the universally loved Queen Mother (mother of Queen Elizabeth II, died in 2002) is still in living memory -- even if she and Camilla are very different people in very different roles.
@paulastiles55076 ай бұрын
@@jaakkomantyjarvi7515 No, she doesn't. Charles gave her the title she has now. That means William can take it away just as easily. She has no role in the succession and she certainly isn't a Queen Mother (that would have been Diana), so it's all William's choice. This is what happens when Daddy marries the sidepiece. Also, the Queen Mum was by no stretch "universally loved" beyond the British rags and Tory set. She was a right dragon and spendthrift, for a start. Yes, a lot of older people still loved her because she and George VI were such stalwarts during WWII - younger Brits, not so much. And if you think she loved Camilla...oof.
@jaakkomantyjarvi75156 ай бұрын
@@paulastiles5507 Point taken re the Queen Mum being or not being "universally loved", but that wasn't the main issue here anyway. The fact remains that Camilla is Queen Consort because she is married to the King and will become Queen Dowager if she survives him. Diana was never Queen, and Camilla is just as entitled to her title-via-marriage as Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was to hers. Stripping Camilla of that title would seem highly unusual and a bad PR move at the very least. As for the divorce angle, even Wallis Simpson was styled Duchess of Windsor after her husband's title, although there surely was plenty of motivation to deny her any recognition at all.

It makes me laugh when people like the ex are unhappy. "Oh no, how cruel of her! The woman I cheated on no longer loves me! I'm hurt!"

Story 2 has me in tears man. Always great to see that loving, accepting people are still out there. I hope Op can one day overcome his grief and trauma, sounds like he still has some work to do there. And Ada just sounds amazing, I wish them both the best of luck!

Whoa, this is the first time I've been this early to a Mark Narrations video! *takes out speech* "I would like to thank the Waffle Academy..." 🤣 OP, that 'friend' is not your friend. If she is so willing to come to the aid of an affair partner than her own friend, that tells you all you need to know. Both the ex AND the faux friend need to exit stage left. Since when does someone owe honesty and integrity to a person who was willing to be an affair partner and tried to oust you from your own home? That simply does not compute. It makes me wonder if that 'friend' has been a mistress for a time or ten. *listens to update* Freaking CALLED IT! OP, consider this as your new year cleanse. The trash revealed itself and you acted accordingly and put it out on the curb.

Story 1- Guaranteed the best friend slept with her ex too. She's way too defensive of the new side piece. Way too sus there.

Love the cress-in-the-carpet story! Reminds me of the one I heard years ago about a woman whose cheating husband took their house in the divorce. Before she left, the wife sewed a bunch of shrimp into the lining of the drapes. As time went on, the shrimp got more and more rotten, and no one could figure out where the stink was coming from 🤣 IDK if it's a true story but it makes me laugh.

Husband.... pissed off that OP is calm and immediately releases him to the AP. Husband.... "I never meant to hurt you." yeah, that's why you were hurt she wasn't hurt.

Story 1- by telling the mistress, all OP is generating is more crap from her now ex about "ruining his relationship" . Why purposely get involved when he can ruin it himself?

Not going to lie that last story was beautiful had me in tears I wish nothing but the best for the original poster and his newfound love Ada to bring him nothing but happiness and for him to bring nothing but happiness to her life as well Man how lucky is he to find a second love in his life that's very similar to his ex-wife that is just amazing

OP doesn't owe the mistress anything. And best friend is either someone else's mistress, too, or she was hoping to get with OP's guy at some point and didn't realize he wasn't rich.

Story 1- He's out and at his parents and the locks are changed. Do the kindness of filing his change of address with the postal service. Take his name off of everything, and tell Daddy not to look to heard for a contract for him. Not Dad's fault if he just can't find anything and he didn't get anything in writing! ETA I'd also make a post about needing to get the beach house fumigated!

I loved the shovel comment. I have a college-aged daughter and I've told her since she hit her teens that the one tool a woman needs above all others is a shovel. Good for both dispatch and disposal. LOL

OP's trashy "husband" wanting to open their relationship after he admitted to having a mistress made me think thar he wanted OP to keep being his safety net. Someone he could ever fall back to once the mistress grew tired of the "old man" and so he wouldn't end up old and alone as he would then have OP to make company. What a selfish prick!People like that DO deserve to end up alone.

The second OP is so lucky I’ve seen far too many stories on Reddit where someone gets jealous of a dead person and it’s ridiculous. Good for him honestly and as well good on her for being such an amazing lady from what I can tell, at least in the story.

Isn't she letting the mistress know by kicking the guy out? She'll be finding out his actual income soon. If I was the friend I would be more like "Oh crap! You need to let your parents know to ban him from the beach house and boat and call the cops if he still tries to use them!"

Story 2 I don't understand people who feel threatened by their partner's past relationships, especially under these circumstances. Loyal people are loyal. That should be a comfort, not a threat.

Story 1: I don't know how OP resisted the urge to yell down "Because he can't kick people out of property that's not his!" Also, I'm pretty sure Friend was also a mistress.
