His name was Kobalt, when I would stick my finger on the bottom of his tank, he would wrap his himself around my hand, then all the way into my sleeve, out my shirt collar and behind my ear like a glasses cam. some snakes don’t need super large enclosures. rack systems like these are used for folks who own a lot of snakes, and for the most part they’re perfectly content in their enclosures as long as they get handled from time to time. but your concern is valid!!

Doesn’t really matter how much a snake is handled, which btw there is still a debate on whether they actually enjoy or not. Scientifically there is no proof on whether they are actually capable of enjoying touch aka handling. What we as humans perceive to be enjoyment in them is most of the time actually not accurate. But I’m going off topic, my original point I wanted to make is no matter how much you take a snake out it still needs enrichment and space in its enclosure. Think of it like this no matter how much we went outside if our house/flat was completely dull and empty aside from the bare essentials we still would not be happy. Not saying this snake isn’t healthy or happy but there is SO much more this person could be doing for their snake. People really should start focusing on giving their animals more instead of getting more animals and in turn giving each one less space/enrichment. This is very common in rack systems or people who have a lot of reptiles. They prioritise having multiple reptiles and giving “okay” care over giving each one the best care possible.
