Another way to write friendships is by having characters be both opposites and yet similar. Establish differences between the two characters but also similarities that connects the two of them and makes sense as to why they are friends

Shouma and Hanto are easily my favorite idiots in this show. They managed to reach an understanding through a complete *mis*understanding. It's led to them being amazing partners, but it's put them at odds with each other with wanting to not reveal themselves to the other guy (having no idea they the one they're trying to had their identity from is the very Kamen Rider they're working with.), and let's not forget how they were both on the cusp of a panic attack when they realized they might have accidentally blown up their partner along with episode 10's monster; again, they're idiots. The person they're worried about harming is standing right next to them, alive and well.

Earlier I was thinking "I can't wait until our village idots realize each others identities, it's gonna be a riot", but now I'm considering how fun it could be to try and keep them unaware of each other until the end-game, as a sort of running joke. I doubt they'll do that and even if they did, it might get kinda stale after a while, depending on the writing, but the concept just tickled me.

one of the things that sold me on this episode was brandon rogers' stellar acting when blitz has his mini breakdown in the episode. Brandon Rogers did a great job, and one of the reasons this episode felt a bit more cohesive is because brandon wrote the whole episode himself iirc, with very little help from viv, who i would swear came up with the jokes at the start of the episode...which i disliked...the first half of. I liked the second half of the episode the most though. Brandon tends to do a great job in keeping his stuff cohesive, at least for the video your watching at the time; it may be chaotic, yes, but its a controlled chaos that has a plot it follows.

The entire flashback sequence centers on Millie and how *she* feels. 4. While Millie does comfort Blitzo, the flashbacks make it clear that to Millie, Blitzo comforted *her*

Can you actually believe that people actually expected Valen and Gavv to be rivals? While that may be realistic from a certain angle, they don't really have any reason to be rivals. Also from the very beginning, Gavv has been showing a lot of healthy friendship. We can see this with Sachika's happiness with her friend, and Sachika caring for both Hanto and Shoma. The series also basically refuses going against each for no reason which dragged several seasons that came from the previous era. I honestly think Gavv is the true start for Reiwa.

It is the definition of *Friendship over brute strength.* The protagonist Sakura came to Furin to become the Top Delinquent in his school. Kotoha, the Cafe girl say Sakura won’t reach to the top because he is all alone. It does show that Sakura came from a harsh environment, where people are natural cynical and they are scared and hates him. If something Sakura is used to for so long. When he goes to Furin he see people of the town and nearly all other delinquents (expect Sugishita) gave Sakura such positive praises and compliments it made him uneasy, confused and blushes as he never had people being nice to him. Nirei and Suo are Sakura’s closest friends are his vice captains to help Sakura out, as he doesn’t know how to be Captain. Even Kaiji demonstrates about being Captain is not doing this by himself. He got vice captain helping him. Sakura and Kaji didn’t choose to become Captains, the other students pick them. If you watch the anime and read the manga, what is your opinion on Sakura. Do you think he is a Gary Stu or not? The Leader of Bofurin, Hajime did demonstrate about Let’s our fist do the talking. As metaphor he to understand their enemies so later become friends. Hajime wasn’t interesting taking over other gang he wants to make new friends and allies. I wish I can go deep into Hajime’s past but we have to wait in season 2. Here is another from Wind Breaker *Choji Toriyama and Jo Togame from Shishitoren.* It really delve deep into Choji and Jo’s friendship. Because back then Choji, Jo and the Shishitoren were really close friends and they all had lots of fun back then. When Choji become leader of Shishitoren he while promise to a good leader and have lots of fun, he later become bored, cynical and empty saying being leader is not fun as he thought. As you mentioned earlier about friend being an emotional anchor and shouldn’t accepting all the bad about them. Jo literally fits that category. When a few members of Shishitoren retreated from a fight. Choji beats one member who already down and kick him out the gang for being too weak. Choji have this mindset the stronger you are the more free you can be. Jo was shocked and told Choji, this not how our team to get stronger. But Choji cut Jo off and saying I am leader. Jo was stunned. He did thought about retaliation and fight Choji but Choji is Jo’s closest friend and Jo decided to bare the weight and accepting all the bad from Choji just to make Choji happy. Jo start to beat up and kick out other members of their gang for Choji. I really like Wind Breaker when it comes to friendship and allies. It feels real. Even though this a manga about a school delinquent with no teachers.

Oh my god. The latest episode is so much better than unhappy campers I am surprised there is no ghost, since there is a heaven and a hell. But there’s no limbo? There is no reincarnation? If I was writing I would use delete scene of Rolando to try to possess her. That delete scene can work but only as a hallucinations just like Bitz’s hallucinations of Millie and his mother. Allot of these supposed "retcons" are masks being brought down, and real selves being shown. Not to mention while making this they are also making hazbin, which they kinda need to pay attention to as they take place in the same universe, and possibly in tandem with each other, which we dont really know. It annoys me that Blitzo's trauma is used to excuse alot of the horrible things he does. The focus isn't on the people Blitzo has harmed, but instead it's how harming them has hurt *Blitzo* . That annoys me because it presents Blitzo as the victim we're expected to feel sorry for ahead of anyone else, Millie just forgives all his bullshit and he escapes accountability for driving Loona and Moxxie to despair. Blitzo rountinely abuses Moxxie but that abuse is played for laughs, and forcing Loona to stay up all night burning his Owls is just straight up shitty. Blitzo may have harmed Verosika and accidentally ruined Fizz and Barb's lives...But again, Blitzo is the one the writers want us to feel bad for, not those he's hurt. Their pain is given far less focus and they mostly exist to be Blitzo's "mistakes". Feeling sorry and accepting you're a shitty person isn't enough. You need to actually take responsibility for the hurt you've caused and take steps to fix it...Which Blitzo seemingly has no interest in doing. All it took for Fizz to forgive Blitzo was a brief heart to heart and realising that it was an accident and misunderstanding...So Blitzo doesn't really have to put in the work to earn his redemption. It's like Viv watched Bojack Horseman and wanted to transplant his arc onto Blitzo...But not actually hold him accountable for his actions. Bojack isn't just easily forgiven and his bad actions have lasting consequences that he has to atone for. But then he often fails because he falls back into bad habits or it's too little, too late. Blitzo doesn't even try that because he is the primary victim in the narrative, not his victims. Their pain does not matter in the story, only Blitzo's does. Blitzo having a tragic backstory and trauma doesn't make him any less of a piece of shit. But the narrative wants you to feel bad for him anyway. We've gone from a dark comedy, to a romantic drama, to melodrama, to straight up misery porn.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, yes and no. Allot of the fans thought the sex jokes were getting a bit much when it came to Helluvaboss around the end of season 1 start of season 2, and they really went a bit apeshit with the sex jokes in ghost fkers. i am fine with a sex joke here and there, but like, the entire FIRST HALF of the episode was just sex joke after sex joke/inuendo after inuendo. And i tend to say that i can tolerate the jokes a bit more than some people but even i thought it was a bit much at the start. Now this could also be that they started getting kids watching the show, and decided to throw this in to scare them off.

Blitzo's harassment of Millie's love life and belittling of her husband are swept under the rug because he's sad. This is awful storytelling since the writers don't want to think how they'd react if it happened to themselves. You cannot excuse bad behavior because of sadness without a series of actions towards improving oneself. It's even worse when you reconsider that Blitzo seemingly had a breakthrough in episode 7 where he treated Moxxie decently, yet he is dumping all paperwork on him as his own company is falling into bankrupcy.

Also, Blitz is the boss. There is an inherent power dynamic/imbalance regardless of whatever relationship he tries to have with the M&Ms even if Millie is seemingly ok with it. Moxxie is not as has been made abundantly clear countless times. Coupled with Blitz constantly putting down and threatening Moxxie, Blitz's relationship with them eerily resembles that he has/had with Stolas. Scarily so.
