I love seeing how Risey has become just 1 of the gang, chilling out with his home boys. I bet Uniek could be a handful she's a big horse. I'm so glad her arthritis treatment is helping her & she can enjoy trotting & galloping. Glendy & Daisy running & kicking up their heels make me feel like spring is coming. I got a kick out of watching their short legs move as they ran along the back fence.

I love the sound of Queen Uniek's shoes on the path. She really did want to have a full gallop. Our Risey is indeed maturing. I snuck a peak of this video at work (on night duty). Wonderful. I went back to work smiling after watching the Shetlands playing.

Uniek really loves you, it’s so sweet when she puts her nose into your hair 🥲. You could tell by the sound of her hooves, that she wanted to take off. It was pretty funny when you rode her into the barn, and stopped to say hello to RS, that he was ,”oh it’s just you mom, I’m hanging out with my buds”. RS just gets more beautiful all the time. It seems like he’s gaining muscle in his rump.

The clompity clomp of the hooves on the pavement. 😍 This filmed in December. We see the spot on Risey's front shoulder. It is from rubbing against the rails when eating. I do hope he grows out of this habit; I would hate to see a permanent scar on this handsome colt. 👍

Good catch. I rewatched the beginning of the video and Rinse Janko has one as well. Maybe it's because they share a stall and jostle for position at the bar , rather then eating all relaxed? Or is it, because they're still slender enough, to press in between the bars a little? I never noticed this before on any of the foals.

@@LindaEll89 yes, his sire is more darkbrown. Risey is also brown, but not like his father, but darker then months ago. The diferencd should be more clear with the two together in the same picture. Because somethimes the light change the colors a bit. Thanks. But i like this color more for this georgous colt. From witch age they become stallion? And also for the fillies-mares.? This question because rialta is 4 now, so she was in foal at about 3. Is'nt that to early, or is that diferent for friesians. Because next month it's geertje's 4th birthday, so she could be also almost have a foal now. I think itst diferent in the breeds, or i'm wrong?💞

@@joannesmartens9442 They won't breed them until they were evaluated at age 3 and only, if they get a 'star' rating. And sometimes, pregnancy is postponed for another year, if the mare is deemed not physically developed enough. This was the case for one of the 3 year old mares last summer - although I don't remember which one. Yvonne mentioned it in the video, where she announced all the pregnancies.

That was indeed a pile of poop. I love everything about horses: the sound of hooves on the pavement, the cacophony of neighs when calling to each other, the smell and sound of leather tack, watching them sleep and play, the mild crunch of straw across the floor, even the farts and manure. But what big messes they make! Still, cleaning up all the many piles of poop is a fine price to pay for the company of such good Friesian horses.

It would be hard not to love Uniek so much! Her big soft muzzle almost seems to smile and she's so big and beautiful, I love her sweet crown! Her big clip clops sound so nice, I would be really interested in seeing when the young horses tiny feet are developed enough for them to wear shoes. I like hearing their little feet tapping on the stable floor when they go outside. I'll bet Uniek was tapping her hoof for some pellets 😄
