Oh how I love the sound of hooves on concrete, absolutely one of my favorite sounds ever!! Who would have guessed that a video of grooming after a ride could be so relaxing. But my BP was high earlier but after watching this in went way down! Yvonne I have NEVER seen a horse scraped so fast in any 62 years!! It made me chuckle but MOST of all I wanted to be there to do it with you. You have that natural knack for doing everything needed done.... done thorough and well with gentleness and precision. Reintje seemed to enjoy getting the sweat off & her colt weighing in the background was like, "hurry up Yvonne I'm thirsty!" You truly are good at educating your audience. Great video, so thank you sweetheart. Can I adopt you as my daughter??????😃😄😆😉😉🥰🥰🐎🐎🐴🐴🐎🐎 LOL

I think I know what scares them the most about the bales of hay and straw it is wrapped in a shiny reflective plastic and seeing their reflection must be wierd to them. I could here Minze teije whinnying hurry up with mum I am hungry 😆 and queen uniek striking her gate saying what about me don't forget me I would like some pellets please😊 Reintje itching her leg isn't the only friesian horse does that there's a gelding in the UK called Apollo and he doesn't like his ears washed too.🐴

@@bettykirk6670 yeah horses are more clever than people give them credit for, so they do well with highly intelligent people that learn to understand them and to translate what they want them to do . I think some people struggle to intellectually communicate and misjudge how they use the reigns and timing so when the horses refuse to jump or run into the obstacles they call them stupid , some horses don't mind jumping and some do it must be uncomfortable on the leg joints when they're landing with there weight and the rider and in the wild horses avoid jumping over downed trees or fences unless fleeing from preditors. Horses certainly need people who have a easily motivated and use their iq intellect well. Apollo is exceptional and has the friendly human disposition socialising horses with humans is as important as having them reared in herds, lots of people don't let their horses interact as I herd at livery stables in case of injuries and our in some cases just stood In there stall / stable room from what I have found out from horsemanship blogs on how to understand horses and the good and bad practises on utube. Keep safe from this pandemic , it seems the anxiety of it is going to be around for a long while yet and how the government keep changing their minds on the measures in place , I thought it was only indoors like shops and offices you had to wear a mask and that people with mental health that suffers with anxiety were excempt from having to wear a mask. The police in London were stopping people in the street without masks on and were stopping people and telling them off or cautioning them. Does this mean they aren't allowing mental health sufferers exemption anymore ? Can you be fined for not wearing a mask now I already just stick to going out to the supermarket and a walk to a nearby lake, I had to self isolate for ten days because of being in a pub where confirmed cases had been a few days after it was frustrating and clausphobic and monotonous, luckily I was negative I had wondered if I could be A symptomatic a while before having the scare at least I know i haven't had it yet! Take care when out.😊

It is very interesting to me that horses are large and heavy, and yet they are very easily startled. They must always be on the look out for danger and be ready to escape. They have no knowledge of the power that they possess!

Horses are prey animals and are on alert for predators. Yvonne is always alert to anything that may scare the horses and takes time to let them understand there is no threat. It's second nature with her whether at Stal G, on a trail ride or any place new to the horse. 💙

It’s amazing that you wrap your hay in plastic! To keep it dry? They don’t do that here state side, at least I’ve never seen it here. They just either leave it in the fields until needed or store it in a barn. Your way I guess you get less waste like mold and mildew. Good idea really.

I have a couple sprayers like that! There is also an adjustment at the tip which you can tighten or loosen. They are difficult to keep set properly and a new one is often the best purchase! LOL

He’s so precious.💜💜 He & Myrthe MD have the have the fluffiest coats out of the bunch, two little fluff munchkins.🥰🥰 He might keep a little bit of his curls but this is just the foal coat they have as babies, it starts out as kind of a deep chocolate brown & then by the time they are yearlings they get the traditional deep shiny jet black coat with a gorgeous long mane & tail. I do love that baby down fluff though.😊
