Feel so bad about all the destruction and loss of property and lives. Such a heartbreaking time. That’s why you’ll find me checking in on this site often. Horses drink ten gallons of water per day. Up in the Catskill Mountains, in NY State, the rivers freeze and while the horses were drinking, a person who was never on a farm before jumped on the ice, breaking a portion of the ice and the horses went running 🐎 Yes, I got a bit upset and said, Do you know how long it's going to take them to come back?? But of course they came back - I never saw anyone jump on the ice to scare the horses - 🃏 Yup, Barney's got a little sumthin', there Lovely to see such quiet 😊

Please keep us all posted on Soraya and I pray she recovers very quickly and with zero issues. Mathilda is coming into her adult coat really well. ❤️ Mathilda so much. All the foals are beautiful but I just adore Mathilda. I was wondering about the yearlings etc, do you already have a buyer before they are born or do you breed them and then set up the sales? How many of the foals do you guys keep each year if any? Finally omg live Barney so much and hope he doesn’t get a hold of anything bad. I’m sure the spider or whatever was tasty.

I was wondering why you have Johnny? Is he for the smaller people (i.e. kids to ride?) Also, is he "in tact", i.e. a stallion? Otherwise I'm not sure why you'd have a pony when you have so many big, beautiful Friesens to ride. Not being critical, just curious. Also, I do think it's very cute that he is brown/black, like your amazing Friesens.

It's been said that he is the teaser stallion so that they know when the mares are in season; but he is too small to breed with them....to avoid any accidents.

The only males they have are either youngsters or Jonny who is a teaser stallion. He's kept to indicate when the mares are in season but he's too small to mate with the Friesians.
