On a Frigidaire model FFFH20F2QWC, the fan is secured much more tightly. There is a coil that holds it on the you may have to carefully remove. There is also the temperature control knob. The thermostat wiring prevents a full removal of the cover as illustrated, but you can work around it by moving the cover to your right like an unhinged door. The job took about 30 minutes of work, with reviews of this video multiple times not included.

Being a woman I am tired of being ripped off. The appliance guy came out and said it would be 1200.00 to fix and to replace the fan. I told him to f...off that I would fix it myself. The part only costed 16.00 on Amazon and this video was step by step and I fixed it in 15 minutes. Thank You so much.

Right on! I had the same issue with my Kenmore freezer. I followed the instructions and found the motor fan was stuck. Once I clear up the fan path, everything started working. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for your video, I was able to replacement my evaporator fan motor. The freezer started working well for a few days, but the light was blinking. Now it is cold but not freezing (-4C). Do you have any recommendations? It says high temperature

I just did this and my freezer is functioning perfectly again. The replacement motor didn't have threads for the bracket mounting screws; so I used self tapping screws and they worked fine. Thank you for this video!

I have the same freezer as in this video. On 9/13/19 after receiving the part, I did exactly as this video recommended. I arrived home the next day after switching out the evaporator fan motor and everything is back to normal. The high temp light is off and the digital thermometer showed a temperature of 20 degrees.

when you replace the new motor in the freezer, is the holes in the new motor tapped or threaded so you don't have to contact a local machine shop to do this for you?

I noticed that the food on the door of my GE upright freezer was thawing out. Upon further investigation I realized the food in front was thawing but in the back was frozen. I emptied it and put a bottle of water in 24 hrs later it was only partly frozen. I turned the unit off and started researching what could be wrong. I restarted it and the bottle of water froze. So I believe the compressor is working. I removed the inside cover and the fan is working but noticed the coils were about 50% frozen up. I am now doing a complete defrost. What do I check next to see why the freezing up. Thanks

The moment you're sure the freezer internal destruction clock ⏰ has met its 0 hour 0 minute 0 seconds left. So you're now surching the net for any helpful information as to what could be wrong. This clip is my first hit. Fast forward to me at the freezer plugging it back in. What? Why is there no power?? I've already checked the fuse box. Let me try to plug something else in. It has no power. Thats when you remember the GFI outlets with the random order the builder electrician did just for the fun of it. Three trys later with my husband saying he never heard this when they was showing use the house. I'm proud to say, The freezer is working.

My garage freezer hardly freezes, motor sounds under stress, the back (bottom) of the freezer is frozen up which is covering that drain hole. This tends to happen in hot weather. The problem will usually correct itself if I unplug the freezer for 12-24 hours. Can anyone advise why this happens?

GE upright freezer not defrosting. Manually defrosted it. got nice and cold didn't seem to go into defrost mode. Advanced the timer manually into defrost mode. Freezer defrosted but after 45 min. still had not gone back to cool mode. Does that mean the timer is shot or could one of the temp. sensors be causing this?? Manually put it back into cooling mode. thanks any one

Electricity. If you don't want it to run, shut off the electricity and it will stop.
