If you ever have the issue of some athletic beast just jumping over your guard right at the beginning of the round, this simple grip might be what you need. Using a stiff arm will help you halt the movement so you can go back to the guard at a pace right for you.

I really like that Keenan shows the students trying the move and correcting them.

Incredible detail. Old whitebelt here and getting my guard passed is what I do best. I will try this next class. Thank you! 👊🤙

I've been trying to work off my back a lot more and I'm realizing just how horrendous I am lol. I get my guard shredded so easily and it feels like it'll take decades for me to get anywhere near competence. This should help. I hope.

Thanks for this - i have been trying that leg recovery and exactly what you said, better players just run around so i have to repeat and they eventually get the pass. Also it seems this would work if they grab both knees and force them down and walk around to pass. Will work this in tomorrow

Like a push off tech stand but posting on the arm closest to your head? I’ve been apprehensive to post my arm that far but you definitely show there’s no danger. I’ll give it a go. Thanks
