When the ref looks at the fighter and sees that he is unable to continue he stops the fight. 2 minutes left or 2 seconds he stops the fight. The ref doesn't carry a watch of course, that's the timekeeper's job, time is irrelevant to the ref, he protects the fighter from possible death. If a ref let's the fighter continue and the next punch kills him he's got serious legal problems. Even Steele's stoppage couldn't prevent Meldrick Taylor from becoming the incoherent,brain - damaged wreck he is today.

It was very close going into the 12th, and Froch prob won this with a 10-8 12th even if Taylor makes the bell.

@Uppercut4438 жыл бұрын
You're thinking of concussions. People get exponentially more susceptible to having them once they've had one. This was not a concussion knockout, this was a stoppage after a severe beating. Americans have a assumption that their boxer is better going in to a fight, and if thy lose there must be mitigating circumstances. That's not the case, Froch was just the better man, on this night or any night of Taylor's career.

He wasn't a middleweight

As an American froch is definitely the real deal. Gritty and always bring intelligent pressure

I think the Commentary was the best I've heard and I was watching this live and I also as the past comment mentioned I lost my voice also. So sad that this wasn't shown widely and I still get goose bumps every time I re watch this fight I have to honest i repect Froch as a fighter but as a pundit im starting to dislike him more and more.

Froch fought like a champion, but Taylor fought like a warrior.

Not technically the best boxer but what a heart and chin! 👏👏

Not sure if they teach this in certain British clubs but I see some similarity in the way Froch sets up his right and how Fury was doing it in his rematch with Wilder.

One of the greatest last rounds in boxing. Shame on the British tv that it wasn’t shown live. That’s why he bangs on about 80000. You didn’t want to know him when he was the world champion
