Not at all, more fool you and all the people that thought it would be anything but that. Truely deluded to think cause Tyson could hit _pads_ for 20secs that constitutes any level of readiness or fitness for a fight at _ANY_ age, let alone 58. The middle aged women at the local leisure centre with budget PT's put on a better show with their padwork. Why do you think any training footage of Tyson was snippets less than the length of a round spliced together? You got sucked in by the hype now have sour grapes because of YOUR false expectations so are crying fix 🙄 Tyson was game but gassed from the 1st and simply couldn't get near Paul on those 58yr old legs, he and anyone who actually know's about boxing quickly realised it would of been futile to try chasing the much more agile, faster Paul for 8rounds, yet he still tried. It took courage to stay in there against an opponent of such limited rudimentary skills that was still superior to him in every department. Like you said, it was sad to watch. So it was actually a class act by Paul to not go for the KO and displayed a grace and humility i would of not expected from a person like him. No one likes to see a miss-match but that's all this fight was ever going to be. It was crazy wishful thinking or plain naive to think otherwise.

I dont agree with Froch saying Jake draws big crowds, majority of people tuning in were there for Tyson, jake knows he isnt a big draw he leeches off his opponents names
@gavinpells4497Ай бұрын
Completely agree, I only watched it out of curiosity to see how Tyson would do. If Jake Paul was fighting a nobody I wouldn’t have bothered.
@BL00DYME55Ай бұрын
I think the crowds are drawn by their hatred of Jake Paul. Everyone desperately wanted to see Mike humble that cocky little prick. But Paul knows what he's doing, he only fights very carefully selected opponents that give him a massive advantage. And picking Tyson was an intentional business move - a legend loved by everyone, but far past his prime. Paul embraces and feeds on the cotroversy, even calls himself "the problem child". It's intentional, it gets people talking about him, gets media to show his face, and he monetizes all this hate. And yet people keep feeding him and giving him views.

Jake Paul absolutely draws crowds. It's people who wanna see him get knocked out
@minecraftman2426Ай бұрын
This is just a dishonest or ignorant take. The combination of Mike and Jake together is what drew the crowd, not Mike Tyson alone. I can't tell you how many people I've talked to that were excited for this fight but didn't even have a clue that Mike had fought Roy Jones Jr several years back. This fight wasn't just built on the back of people wanting to see Mike. It was also built on the back of people wanting to see Jake lose.

To be honest I watched it on the highlights. Didn’t want to stay up for it. However this was a shadow of Mike Tyson. He looked absolutely bewildered at the end of each round as he shuffled back to his corner. Very very sad. I’m a bit older than Tyson so I was there when he started and was terrorising opponents. Just shows you that, at that age , you just can’t compete. Thank god Mike didn’t get badly hurt and he’s got a good few quid. Perfect analysis there Carl ❤

I don't sub to Netflix, But I wouldn't have watched this match if I did! Highlights are fine. The only time I would happily pay to watch Jake Paul in a boxing match is if he faces a real current name (or at least not long retired) same weight class in a full 12 round 3 min a piece no rules other than the standard boxing rules match up... I will pay and watch with pride! No belts on the line it doesn't matter. I want to see what Jake has really got, And I can't lie I would enjoy a full KO from Jake's opponent.. Earlier the better! Or be surprised by a decent fight by him, and maybe I will show him a bit of respect for it.

@BalthazarMyrrh70Ай бұрын
Actually Tyson never stopped training after losing 100lbs for the Jones Jr exhibition. I don't believe gassing was the issue at all. Tyson kept a good defensive posture. Obviously it was a knee issue. He wasn't moving like the open workout or the slap incident. & neither of those was clipped deception. So something had changed. The stumble walking in & knee brace are immediately suspect imo. Late injury & they didn't want to postpone.
