I had a 1977 monte carlo in high school in 1988. My monte had the swival buckets with a 350 that ran like new but had way more rust then this 73 in this video. I remember back in the 80s early 90s I would see atleast 1 of these cars on every block.

This body style is still somewhat cheap compared to other older cars right now. It’s always a good time for a project.

Had a '75. Had to get rid of it because it kept blowing all its oil if you went over 50mph, and smoking like a chimney. It wasn't even the original engine, and I only drove her about 1,000 miles a year or so.

Sounds like that motor was wore out as well

Take them old points and distributor out and put electronic ignition. Motor will run way better.
