I had come across this testimony in the summer of 2018. I was just back from a retreat in Italy where I got to visit Assissi. It wasn't a Christian retreat but new age. I was lost and struggling to find the way. In Assissi I was intrigued by the life os St Francis. Was searching videos about him and other saints on youtube and this came into my feed. I enjoyed listening to Dr. Lim's story being a Korean myself but never thought it could also be for me and continued my new age path. Eventually, in 2020 I lost everything and in the spring of 2021 I met Jesus, my everything. ♥

When about 29 , though a Christian, due to an abusive husband, I decided to end my life. Then, in broad daylight in my room alone, I heard a very strong mans voice say, I am your God, ELOI. I replied, NO, I only have one God, Jesus Christ. Then the voice said, look it up in the concordance of your Bible. Then I did, thinking I’d never heard of it, and it referred me to mark 15, where Jesus was hanging on the cross and cried out, ELOI, ELOI, lama sabach Thani, I.e. my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Then I was engulfed in the total love of God, and knew I was not forsaken be God, even tho my husband hated me, just as Jesus wasn’t, as he rose from the dead. Thank you.

Hello. So, what I want to do with this message is to simply show what the Gospel is. I am not trying to force my belief down people's throats. It's your choice whether you want to accept it. So, a question: Do you think you are a good person? If so, have you ever stolen anything, lied, looked lustfully, watched adult material? All of those are sins and anyone who sinned is not good(on God´s standard). You, I and most( most because babies don't sin, and maybe specifically mentally Ill people) purely human beings have violated God's moral law. Since God is just, He can not let sin go just like that. So is there any hope? Yes, there is! Out of love and mercy, God became a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and finally died on the cross to bear the punishment we deserve, we deserve to be punished because we have sinned. The reason why blood must be spilled for forgiveness of sins is because the life of the flesh is in the blood, in the Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for sins but the sacrifice of animals were enough to temporarily cover some sins. (it did not allow forgiveness of sins, unlike Jesus´s, it only temporarily covered them) Jesus is the Lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for sins which is enough for all sins that have been done, are done and will be done. He was buried and rose again. His resurrection proved that His death was enough to pay our penalty, the penalty for our sins.Jesus paid our penalty and in order to accept the free gift of salvation from God, we must trust in Jesus's spilled Blood, His finished work on the Cross for our salvation. And then your sins will be forgiven because of what Christ did, you will be saved. See: Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Leviticus 17:11, Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. kzbin.info/www/bejne/opPFZautjs9kb8k Evidence for God´s existence: Kalam cosmological argument, Contigency argument, Modal ontological argument. Regarding Christianity, check out InspiringPhilosophy´s videos about the Ressurection of Jesus and the reliability of the New Testament. Together, they show good evidence that Christianity is true.

“Accept” Jesus where in the Bible do you get this from?
@ThereIsHopeWithGod3 жыл бұрын
@@LuisPerez-fy6up Hi, The Bible does not *LITERALLY* word for exact word say 'accept Jesus as, or...' however, scripture without a doubt, implies the importance of accepting Yeshua (Jesus) without using the *exact* wording. There are many, many thing's in scripture that are not "outright" or "literally" said...but are understood. Well, what does it mean to *accept?* *AC·CEPT* /əkˈsept/ verb • 1. consent to receive (a thing offered). • 2. believe or come to recognize. *(John 4:10). Paul said, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).* *By definition, a gift is not forced...but it must be accepted. A gift also can be refused. John the Baptist said of Yeshua (Jesus,) “He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful” (John 3:32-33).* So, accepting is receiving, coming to recognize, believe. Therefore it is undeniably scriptural to "accept" Jesus, although not stated in the Word *literally.* Shalom

@@ThereIsHopeWithGod I think the point Luis made, and I think it is a good one, is Jesus made a sacrifice that we may be one in Him and may be saved through Him…if we obey Him. “You are my friends if you do what I command you”. JN 15:14 A passive acceptance of Christ as Lord doesn’t get it done and your biblical quotes do not say Jesus is a gift; He is the hope of the nations and He doesn’t want your acceptance but you to love God above all and one another as yourself. You can’t sit passively on your hands accepting your “free gift” like cheap grace, assenting He is Lord and Savior of all, because He is, whether you assent or not.

All with an 8th grade education and only a GED later achieved. Before I asked I could not understand these things, if I started reading string theory I would become disinterested and trail off. I attempted it many times, I just lacked the knowledge to understand complex wave function. sub-atomic particles, wave-particle duality, time dilation etc etc not to mention the countless of theories I suddenly gained an understanding of. I attribute this to God answering because I sure didn't get it from a school. Funny thing is you would think science would lessen my faith in God, nope, it strengthened it as it proved to me just how complex and interesting method in which God creates. Seeing it in your mind and witnessing the amazing creation of God's is an experience that no other can live up to. God is an amazing being and Christ is how we candidly talk with God, its as simple as that. We understand a certain aspect of how to communicate with God by utilizing Christ as a conduit to God.

You must take the whole Bible to understand the Bible, or you'd think satan had your best interests at heart and wanted you to be like gods. Read all of that chapter to understand the context of the verse you just quoted, and you'll find out very quickly its not those who walk with God that need to worry about those things, but rather those who choose not to.

So many Christian parents and youth leaders do not invest their lives teaching children WHY you behave a certain way or believe the gospel or HOW to give themselves sacrificially for another. They have glory clubs where they laugh and have fun and do not put the love of Jesus into action. And there are so many pastors who have a pride problem and just want to be called by a title and listen to their own voice every Sunday on a stage. But seek the Lord, give away your traditional ideas of church membership and let Him lead you to a home fellowship or vibrant small church.

I got saved at 17 in a small southern country church, shortly after moved to the big city and started going to a big church. Started going to the youth group where I pretty much did not exist. I enjoyed the mature adults a whole lot more. Wound up finding a small friendly church in another section of town. How do WE treat people,

we need less academics? what do you mean?
@MISNEGRASLINDAS6 жыл бұрын
Crabby Lobster I didn't say we less academics, I said we need more disciplines following jesus not siting in so called churches,jesus said... I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. (John 17:23, ESV) So people will believe in when they see real followers of jesus like this ones... 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. (Acts 2:41-47, ESV) 32 Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. 33 And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35 and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. 36 Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, 37 sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet. (Acts 4:32-37, ESV) And they sold everything because they believed what jesus said here.... 26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26-27, ESV) So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:33, ESV) That's what we need to see. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart." (1 Corinthians 1:19, ESV) 20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:20-31, ESV)

NICK COIN Excuse me but that verse was taken wayyyy out of context sir. If you don’t have a clue as to the historical and textual context from which you are quoting scripture, it can and will lead to ridiculous outlandish claims such as the one you have made. This is just a prophetic declaration of the atrocities, which were often committed by cruel enemies when cities were plundered and sacked, that were to take place in Samaria (capital of the Israelitish kingdom at the time) by the hands of the Assyrians as a consequence of continuously rejecting the protection of their God. They did not want God’s protection, so He backed off. Why? Because love never forces or controls, it can only plead and plead and plead out of concern. Which is what He did, but it seemed to keep falling unto death ears. And so at that point nothing more could be done to deliver Samaria from her enemies. It was the will of the Samarians to push God away and therefore forfeit his Divine Protection. So no, actually. Neither the God we worship nor our prophets LOVE to see such atrocities happen. Such things are detestable to God and by default to those who really truly love Him and have the light of Christ in them. Consider the following: “For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.” (Psalm 5:4); “There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers” (Proverbs 6:16-19). Don’t misunderstand. Don’t associate atrocities carried out by the hands of evil men with the Hands of God. He does not sponsor the wicked nor the works of the flesh. That said, cherry picking verses from the Bible and trying to mold them to fit your own preconceived notions without objectively looking at the picture as a whole is just foolish, I’m sorry. May God bless you and open your eyes to the Truth. ❤️

The Christian Delusion: "In an era illuminated by science and reason, the "good news" of Christianity became less and less convincing a metaphysical structure, less secure foundation upon which to build one's life, and less psychologically necessary...Under the spotlight of the modern demand for public, empirical, scientific corroboration of all statements of belief, the essence of Christianity withered. "The Judaeo-Christian God was a peculiarly durable combination of wish-fulfillment fantasy and anthropomorphic projection - made in man's own image to assuage all the pain and right all the wrongs man found unbearable in his existence. If, by contrast, the unsentimental human reason could adhere closely to the concrete evidence, there was no necessity to posit the existence of such a God, and much that argued against it. "With its apocalyptic prophecies and sacred rituals, its deified human hero and world savior motifs, its miracle stories, moralisms, and veneration of saints and relics, Christianity seemed best understood as a successful folk myth... "Raisings from the dead, miraculous healings and exorcisms, a divine-human savior, a virgin birth, manna from heaven, wine from water, water from rocks, partings of seas - all appeared increasingly improbable to the modern mind, bearing as they did too many similarities to other mythical or legendary concoctions of the archaic imagination." Every night before we go to sleep we should make our lives right with God so that even if we were to die in our sleep we will still go to Heaven. Here is a good prayer to say before sleeping and throughout the day. Say dear Lord Jesus I thank you for dying for my sins and I receive you as my Lord and saviour. Lord Jesus I confess all my past, present and future sins to you and I ask you to please forgive me for all these sins, wash away all my spots, blemishes and wrinkles and fill me with overflowing holy spirit and with overflowing spiritual oil even unto death. Lord I forgive and release all those who have done me wrong and I ask you to bless them. Lord Jesus please write my name permanently in the lambs book of life in Heaven in Jesus's name I pray. Amen🙏🙏 Pass this prayer to everyone, Jesus bless you.

I got saved at the age of 19, but I searched for God since as far as I can remember the age of 6 or 7. I remember I would have experiences with seeing dark shadows in my room. My mother had 15 children & as a child some where married and moved away so it was like 7 of us left. I shared my room with 5 others. But I was the only one who would have this experience. Well, to make a long story short. The fear of that led me to pray and read the bible. Mom would always tell me not to fear because Jesus was always with me. That was the start of my search for God. I prayed and went to church. But never quite understood much. Growing up I would have my little sisters pray with me. But they didn't want to. Then my brother who was closest to me in age wanted to pray, but he is deaf mute. So I would teach him in sign language the best I could. Anyhow life went on and I prayed every night. But my mother being Catholic only taught me Our father prayer. So that's what I prayed for many years. At the age of 19 I got a new job and moved 130 miles away from home with my fiance at the time. The change of living in a new town with no family anf friends led to depression and I truly started reading the bible. But never felt changes. Iet a very nice lady at the supermarket and she invited me to her house. A week later I went to visit her and she haf me say the Lords prayer. I didn't feel anything. I went home and a few days later I started just crying uncontrollably and asking God to forgive me for every single sin I had ever commited. I started reading and understanding the bible. I fell in Love with Jesus & God in such a way that I couldn't live a moment without God not being in the center of it. A month later my deaf mute nrother came to visit me. And I had him say the Lords prayer. He was living a lifestyle during that time that he was loving and truly didn't want to change. But the morning aftet he woke up and gave me the tightest hug ever. His eyes were swollen and he looked so bright and different. Something about him had changed. The light was im him now. Jesus is the light, the true and the life. Thank You Jesus. I love you. Thank you for saving us.

Repent to the one Lord and G-d, worship, have faith, trust, revere, and fear Him alone!

I agree wholly. Just an honest guy, always trying to do the best he knew how. Christianity would get much farther on this Earth if we were stripped of pride and knew what we know and were open to what we do not (to try and test against what we do know, not to accept without question). There is no divide between real science and true religion. Even the staunchest atheist scientists tend to believe in extra-terrestrial life as a likely possibility. The idea that more intelligent life, not from this Earth, exists in this universe is so self-evident given the innumerable galaxies (let alone stars, let alone planets) that only a fool would discount it. The only chasm between that understanding and Theism is a personal benevolent disposition. But why would an intelligent alien or alien species want to interact with man for negative purposes? Surely there are plenty of natural resources more readily available than making war with us to steal ours or to destroy us for having a dirty house! That leaves only benevolent purposes and bridges the short gap. Having a basic concept of God similar to Star Trek's Vulcans, or Carl Sagan's guides from Contact is not so far removed from Christianity that we cannot embrace it as a type or shadow. We all have much to learn. I appreciate Dr. Lim's approach of "let us find out together." So much has been lost to competition. So much can been gained through cooperation. I made up my mind about his character (Dr. Lim) as soon as he related his response to God speaking truth to him. So many, too many push back and fight God's will. He simply knew it for what it was an accepted it humbly. Too often we try to hurriedly twist God's voice into our own interpretations and then lock it in, instead of listening and seeking perfect understanding without assuming we have found it (before such time God reveals to us that we have).
@davidm96186 жыл бұрын
"Even the staunchest atheist scientists tend to believe in extra-terrestrial life as a likely possibility." That has to be the dumbest statement I have read in a long time. But then you continue and it just gets worse... are you on meth?
@SaneAsylum6 жыл бұрын
Your logic is just superb. How could I argue with a quote, an ignorant statement, and two personal attacks? The Drake equation gives at the very worst a .4% chance of alien life in our galaxy. There are billions of galaxies that we know about and we have never not encountered them the farther we look. That makes the possibility of INTELLIGENT alien life not only possible but an almost certainty: www.space.com/41080-alien-life-may-be-rare-today.html From Stephen Hawking: "What are the chances that we will encounter some alien form of life, as we explore the galaxy. If the argument about the time scale for the appearance of life on Earth is correct, there ought to be many other stars, whose planets have life on them. Some of these stellar systems could have formed 5 billion years before the Earth. So why is the galaxy not crawling with self designing mechanical or biological life forms? Why hasn't the Earth been visited, and even colonised. I discount suggestions that UFO's contain beings from outer space. I think any visits by aliens, would be much more obvious, and probably also, much more unpleasant." www.hawking.org.uk/life-in-the-universe.html "This week, famed physicist Stephen Hawking helped launch a major new effort to search for signs of intelligent alien life in the cosmos, even though he thinks it's likely that such creatures would try to destroy humanity." www.space.com/29999-stephen-hawking-intelligent-alien-life-danger.html From Neil deGresse Tyson: "We go over a famous representation of that question called the Drake Equation: it's a way to organise our knowledge and ignorance about the search for life in the Universe3. In the book we use it to estimate that there are between 100 and 200 civilisations with technology that we can communicate with today in the Milky Way galaxy." www.wired.co.uk/article/neil-degrasse-tyson-welcome-to-the-universe kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5yToYWGfrZ1j5Y I could go on all day. But why bother when the point is clearly proved? How's YOUR meth workin out for you?
@davidm96186 жыл бұрын
YOU REALLY THINK THAT i'M GOING TO READ THAT? Bwhahahahaha! Atheist scientists are the ones that allowed you to know that an extraterrestrial exists. And science and religion are oil and water, my little delusional friend. The former is based on reason, the latter on faith (non-reason).

I used to mock my family going to church, yet my Mother never gave up on me. She prayed for my salvation. In college and when I was all knowing a strange thing happened to me. There were lessons about the human cell and the complexity of DNA. Science was my road back to God. The renowned Physicist Sir Frances Hoyle an atheist computed to statistical probability of the Universe, the Earth and life coming about undirected and that ratio was 1 chance out of 10 followed by ten thousand zeros. That number is greater than all the molecules in the universe. In a court of law that is way way more than beyond reasonable doubt and was good enough for me.
@scienection72615 жыл бұрын
THis probability thing has been debunked many times. For any probability to make sense u need to know the alternative possibilitties which are definitely possible. Dice has definitely six possibilities so you can calculate the probability. Because we dont have other universes to compare it to (other definite posibilities which could have arisen with the conditions at the start) you the calculated probability is meaningless. Me typing and ending this sentence here at this time in this city in this room is also virtualy impossible just as any action without a reference to other possibilities, using this logic. And even if the possibility was indeed that which you state, if an infinite (or nearly infinite) number universes exist then its not surprising that in one of them the right sonditions for life occured.
@juangonzales30595 жыл бұрын
@@scienection7261 and what are the probabilities that an infinite number of universes exist?
@scienection72615 жыл бұрын
@@juangonzales3059 not knowable. And I dont claim to know it or claim how amazing and unlikely it is.The point about the infinite universes was just to show that many reasons can be used to explain how a seemingly unlikely event can actually happen without god.

Andrey Malyshev - why not look directly at the life of Christ and see how He fulfilled over 300 prophecies about Him that were written in the Old Testament. There are very interesting statistical studies that have been done on the probabilities of one person fulfilling that many prophecies. One in particular one was done by Peter Stoner in his book “Science Speaks”. Check it out.

Me too, I grew up in a spirit filled Christian home but personally never was born again. In uni i studied human anatomy and anthropology, and I remb one day being so confused, evolution science on one hand vs miracles of God I witnessed in my life growing up. The truth was one or the other and the dilemna of both being real tormented me. I decided to ask God directly (cos I couldn't ask them dead apes and dinosaurs) to show me if He is real. I remember asking this question very sincerely and with all my heart. Minutes after that "monologue" with God, I youtubed "prove God is real" and suddenly a Christian video broke the veil (that is evolutionary lies) just like that. I wept for hours straight after without reason (mix of sadness and joy) and in that moment recommitted my life to Jesus. Evolution and human reasoning is a lie that is like a veil that for many intellectual type personalities, only God can break.

Thanks for sharing this testimony, Dr Lim. And thanks Dig and Delve for posting this sermon. Youth Pastors and Leaders would benefit from listening to this. A lot of churches are seeing a falling away of kids graduate out of youth group. Perhaps what Dr Lim shared of his experience is one reason.

God never leave me the whole time I was living my way. He was always there though I didn’t know it at that time. I believe once God makes you His he’ll do whatever it takes to make you follow the straight & narrow. Over the years I finally realised he’s there all along. Joining a Bible believing Christian church helps me a lot to get to know The Lord in a very personal way. And it’s the best learning process. The Bible is God breath & its Words never fail to encourage.

God DOES have a sense of humor! One night I was watching Dr. Jason Lisle on youtube talking about evolution being false. Dr. Lisle even stated in that video that evolutionists believe that with enough time, anything is possible. Later through the video, our cat walked into the living room where I was and I just began observing him as he cleaned himself thinking to myself how God thought of every living thing. Our cat then proceeds to walk to our patio screen door, opens it all by himself (yes he can slide a screen door open on his own) and walks out. Out of nowhere, a foreign thought came into my mind that said "If you give him enough time, he'll learn how to cook." I began to laugh hysterically because I knew that only God could have planted such a hilarious foreign thought that joked about evolution. It was just another hilarious loving moment I shared with Jesus 🤣 True story!
