In her speech, Aarya talks about how quantum computing is poised to transform medicine. Unlike traditional computers, quantum computers use qubits, which can process vast amounts of data at once, allowing them to solve complex problems much faster. In medicine, this means simulating organs, testing drugs virtually, and even understanding protein folding, which could
speed up drug discovery and help develop more
personalized treatments. It also has the potential to reduce animal testing. Essentially, quantum
computing could revolutionize healthcare by making it faster, more efficient, and more precise. Aarya Nair is a talented Grade 8 student at Elpro International School with a passion for both science and technology. Since the age of five, she has embraced the art of classical dance, blending creativity with discipline. She is a sportsman who shows her talent in the sport of basketball. She is also part of the Student council, where her leadership and enthusiasm inspire those around her. An avid reader, she loves exploring the realms of science and emerging technologies, constantly seeking new knowledge. With her unique combination of intellect, artistry, and leadership, Aarya is poised to make a meaningful impact in both the scientific and artistic worlds. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
