Mister Dan just for you to know and for the viewers that might want to attemp modding a watch there's no need to remember where the hands were before to remove them when it comes to reinstalling them. You can simply use the date change as an indicator of the 12 o'clock and simply proceed with the installation. I do understand your method since you take advantage of the hacking feature of the movement but that's not always the case and the watch might end up being not sincronized. Apart from that I always enjoy watching your videos so keep it up :)

As not every movement has a clear and exact date switch at twelve, this is still a good practice and eleminates possible mistakes. Let non hacking movements run out of power reserve and then is little to be worried about.

I took the Cyclops off a datejust the same way. To put it back use that glue that you shine UV light on. Any excess will scrape off with a blade. Hate the things! The watch is 500% better. Nice one!

There is a thread that says that Bersigar is actually a rebranded Pagani - look up Pagani Design on the Amazon UK website.

Yes it is The new Pagani branding for the EU area... probably to avoid confusion or copyright infringement

@@XavierAncarno they wrote me back saying that they are keeping the Pagani names on the watches ... not sure if that will be from China and U.S. based sales sites (i.e. Aliexpress and U.S. Amazon) and if Bersiger is Europe based sales websites only or if this will change worldwide.

beautiful watch. I ordered 2 cheap 2813 movements. Scratched the dial and killed the movements :). So i am going to try a third time to build the watch i want. 3 times i succeeded but the one i am doing now is a stubborn one. Great video. will use them for ideas. Cheers mate!

I enjoyed this mod very much and particularly liked the plain non rotating bezel which was a big improvement over the original cheap looking blingy version. I was a bit disappointed that the “finger johnnies” were not brought into play.

Top work, the mistakes are actually very instructive & I like the finished article, it looks very clean a bit like the new Seiko 5's. I'm re brushing a watch with a quite heavy scratch atm, I've been at it for over a week but it's down to just a series of dots I reckon another week & it'll be gone. The scratch in the mineral glass is next, I've got to get a special polywatch for the job. There's always a tool you don't have.

Very tastefully modded Dan! I am a little disappointed you didn’t stick with the rainbow bezel, as that was the defining feature of the watch. I had to be a Rolex homage of some sort. Those iced Rolexes are all questionable in taste if you ask me... Either a gold or silver sunburst dial I thought you had planned or maybe a James Cameron Sea-dweller gradient style from a Pagarni Design? 🤔

Super mod, after I saw you modding the pagani I did also one my first mod ever, but I bent the second hand while removing the crown of the movement to put it back in the case , can you let see how you do that? Ps where can you buy the bezel for the Vostok?

Meranom is where I get most Vostok related things. Their stock level arent always great though. They wait until they are low on lots of things, then get all of it in!
