Mercury Steam did a good job with Castlevania and Metroid (except Dread cause I don't have a copy yet) imo. Would love to see more of both franchise and perhaps other franchises as well from them.

I wish man, however a company bought mercury steam recently in December 2020 I believe. I hope Nintendo can somehow buy a majority of sales. Mercury steam is the future for the Metroid series and I hope Nintendo can find more way to utilize them in the future.

Lords of Shadow 2 is a great game that was hated by the fanbase. It bugs me when a fanbase bashes a game based off story alone and ignore the gameplay and overall design. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Metroidvanias.

I was so excited when it came out and quickly beat it. I then went online to see what to opinion on it was and I was shocked that everyone dunked on it. I replayed half of it this year and still enjoyed it. Kind of a shame.

I enjoyed most of lords of shadow 2, the main part I didn;t like as much were those modern sections. I just wanted to get back to exploring the castle.

It’s a good game, just not a good CASTLEVANIA game. The mirror of fate spin off being spot on suggests that the Konami higher ups were responsible for LoS, but mercury steam actually knows what the fans want. They’re both more faithful renditions than pachinko machines though…

I know this'll sound controversial, but I would like to see a Super Metroid Remake. Let's be honest, there are parts that didn't age well. Space Jumping had a stupidly tight timing, as did wall jumping. There's a moment where the way forward was hidden by a fake wall that your scan visor couldn't see through, and then....... Meridia.

I would LOVE a remake or an enhanced remaster of Super Metroid for the Nintendo Switch!!! I wouldn’t want the art style to stray too far from the original game though. Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS is a perfect example of graphics that could be used as inspiration for Super Metroid. If we are talking about an enhanced remake, then I would want a 16:9 wide screen ratio, enhanced music and sound, quality-of-life gameplay improvements, and maybe an extra area and or more voice over dialogue.

I've played nearly all of there games including Clive barkers Jericho on the 360 and Space lords on ps4 these have a rich history

a little disappointed there was no info about Raiders of the broken planet now known as Spacelords it might not be metroid themed, but still an important part of there history between the metroid games (even if MercurySteam destroyed there own title)

mercury steam plz continue with the idea of a metroid fusion remake. Omg that game was so eerie and awesome. I can't imagine if they would do traditional side scrolling or 3d first person exploration like the prime series. Maybe a 3rd person over the shoulder camera like dead space. but who knows.

@@hibahhussain2944 yeah i understand, but metroid fusion's spooky lab experiments running amok would be awesome in HD. I feel 3D remake would be great to give that deadspace feel. But after seeing Dread in its 2D sidescrolling, I wouldn't mind if it was 2D again.

Dread might have been a success, hell prime 4 might be a good seller but that alone isn't enough to cause a resurgence

Seeing how metroid dread and samus returns preformed Mercurysteams should revisit castlevania 2d and make a remake of one of these games (personally I want sotn or ooe or Aria of sorrow)then they could decide if they should be willing to make new castlevania games or not And I'm pretty sure that they could make a legendary castlevania game but with a company like konami in the lead it's just impossible if only they could sell the rights of castlevania and not to Disney damn it {Btw good video}

@@autismandgaming4532 ehh that was more of Sakamotos crazy ideas that he showed team ninja that they tried to hold back, but couldn't. I'm glad that Sakamoto now knows what he's doing right when directing. He still sees and treats other m as he would his other metroid games though.
