Firstly, I'd like to start by saying thank to Tehilla and Chase for sharing their story! What a beautiful one it is so far and to many more years of hashgacha and joy for the both of you. Secondly, thank you to Tziporah and Stories of Hope for this wonderful segment. Your stories really do inspire and create change. Thirdly, I'd like to sit down with לאה אמינו. She's a woman who's been through so much. Thought she'd have to marry the bad guy to then be married off to the good guy but always play second fiddle to her own sister.... to then years later despite having most of the shvutim have the entire klal yisroel call her sister mama Rochel. There's just so much I'd love to hear from her perspective through her life's journey.

This was such an inspirational episode. Such an eye- opener and reminder of Who runs the world. One of the people I would love to meet from Jewish History who I have been fascinated with for many years is Tzippora, Moshe's wife. She is such an underrated figure in the history of the Jews. Her sacrifice to allow the Jews to have her husband at every hour is so admirable and she obviously had her priorities straight!
@yitzchakenglard25142 ай бұрын
What a lot of people don't know. Is when Yisro heard that Pharaoh was looking for Moshe, for killing a guard. He threw Moshe into a pit for ten years. Tzipora knew he was meant to become a leader. So when nobody was looking she would throw down food everyday for 10 years. The great men in klal Yisroel always had great wives that had their backs.
@yitzchakenglard25142 ай бұрын
Unfortunately it's very hard to pick one person. But I think I would want to meet the one that all the others who I would have picked would have picked. Especially since I talk to him every day and hear his name on every one of your podcasts. Of course HASHEM! Imagine all I need to know he knows. Every one I want to know about he knows. He's the wisdom behind all the wise. And can show me how to become wiser.

Tzipporah no one can do this podcast better than you. You're able to bring out so much depth and conduct the interview with so much sensitivity, but also bring in fun personality. I have really been enjoying these interviews!! And LoL to chase’s experience with shadchanim, we have a family inside joke about shadchanim like: “Her parents are divorced, and his parents are divorced. they would make a great shidduch” Thats why we cant rely on people & only count on HaShem for anything. G-d is truly the best matchmaker because He created us, as well as He created our soulmates, so no one knows truly who would be better fit for you more than G-d Himself. and stories like this make it clear that it is all really in the hands of G-d 🙌🏻 like based on their diverse backgrounds no one could have matched it other than G-d Himself. I got such CHILLS with the dream that Tehila had, im so glad you included it in the interview. To me that proves the authenticity that there is truly a higher world that sees everything, and conducts everything behind the scenes that we arent always aware of. This really was such a beautiful episode and you can see how tehilla & chase are visibly soulmates! And It's precisely the journey that makes their love so meaningful. Had they met easily early on with none of these life ups & downs, even though they would still make a beautiful couple either way, who knows if their relationship would have this much meaning and depth as it does now having to experience what they’ve experienced. So ultimately our individual journeys are only enhancing the blessings that are promised to us. Its like this past weeks parsha where G-d instructs Avrham to go on a journey. he doesnt know where it is leading, G-d doesnt say explicitly. only to just trust the Divine and know eventually everything will fall together

Such a great episode! I credit SoH with shifting my perspective from struggling with the common belief that being "out of the box" warrants being set up only with others who have flaws/baggage, to the possibility that (as Tzipora often says), everyone has a story, and perhaps someone divorced working well with someone who is a BT/convert just speaks to them having some common experiences, especially the kind that necessitate growth to get through. This has made it easier to accept some of my personal hardships and stay open-minded when reviewing potential matches. One of the best things about SoH, though, is it has equipped me with emunah that no older single/outcast in the dating world is beyond Hashem's help. And even more so, that Hashem has a plan for them that's worth sticking around to see play out!

What an inspiration! Both their stories can be separate podcasts! I love the Emuna and bitachon they both have may they just grow in their relationship with HaShem and build a beautiful home together! The person I would want to meet from history would probably be the wife of a gadol- harav Ovadia Yosef or rav Chaim kanievsky and just be a fly on the wall watching them run their home taking care of the kids solo while they send their husbands to learn. I look up to such women who run the show on their own (including being the breadwinner) plus having tonz of children… it’s not a home I grew up in and I’m curious how its done. Something I aspire to

Eve. She was in the world as it was intended to be, was married to her husband by God, was blamed by her husband for his eating from the tree, was expelled from the garden, had one child take the other's life, had curses to her and her husband, had ways to bring light to the world, many years later had another child, said to be the reincarnation of the one taken. She saw the world and it was meant to be and what it became. She's the mother of us all.

I can’t exactly explain why. But least at this moment, the person in Jewish history I would like most to meet is Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto. He didn't tell a child to be quiet. He listened to a little girl, realizing she had truth. All his children were great. Maybe because he heard them? He was honest and humble. As was his future son, the next leader of the Jews.

Osnat, the daughter of Dina, sent away with only a trinket saying she is from the family of Jacob. Her existence came through seemingly terrible ways. What did she know and think of this? How did she feel about being sent away? She ended up in Egypt, taken in by Potiphar, the man whose wife nearly destroyed Joseph. Joseph was eventually told to marry royalty and since Potiphar's wife had no children and Potiphar had Osnat raised in his house, she was considered Egyptian royalty. Osnat was saved by marrying an "Egyptian" Jew no matter her origins or what he seemed to be doing in Egypt. She married a righteous Jew, part of her family. She allowed Joseph to be physically saved since he was told he must marry royalty to survive and she saved him spiritually, too, since he ended up marrying his own family member, 100% of the Jewish tribe, more royal than any Egyptian of any title. She and Joseph, another one to meet, with his family against him, Egyptians against him, his saving everyone, his forgiveness, continued the Jewish legacy. Fascinating.

Noah for telling people for over 100 years that a flood will occur and no one listened except his family, they were alone on that ark in terrifying waters, tending to the animals, doing kindness all day and night, and they began again in an almost desolate world, the new family to begin again and repopulate the world with God's help.
