They actually built Kings Landing in Belfast for the final few episodes, and rigged it with gas pipes and fake walls to fall down, etc. There's a video out there of it somewhere on the interwebs... It's pretty crazy.

I just recently started watching GoT and for a TV Series, I'm surprised by how unnoticeably *GOOD* the quality of the show's CGI is. I'll go as far as to even say that it looks better than most CG FX I've seen in big budget modern feature films today.

@mihael-q4w6 жыл бұрын
@@effemmelle I know I'm late to the party, but, if my knowledge of history is correct, and by every historian's opinion, it is, Dubrovnik was named after the nearby forest 'Dubrava', it was built by a mixture of locals, which were again a mixture of ancient Greek settlers, native Illirians and Roman citizens, and the incorporated Slavs who came from a region in Eastern Europe often called 'White Croatia', hence, modern day Croatia. The city was one of the most advanced trade ports of it's time and it was also a semi-seperate republic called the 'Dubrovnik Republic', however, it was later destroyed in an earthquake which means that most of it we see today was what was rebuilt after the disaster. Later, the Republic was disbanded by Napoleon and given to Venice, since, it has changed owners, but Dubrovnik is a true Croatian city and there is no denying it, sorry you feel different, but facts are facts
