Of course! For profound personal change, we need either desperation or inspiration. Seeing others who have transformed their medical careers during some of their darkest times can serve as both.

Golden advice as usual! I've actually been reading your blog for years. Really glad you decided to go on KZbin now. Lots of people need to hear this advice. Btw this would apply to not only USMLE right? Medicine concepts are universal

Thanks for your kind words as always. Yes this would apply to other exams / clinical practice as well, as learning things conceptually helps you master new things, remember them better and use them which is definitely universal

sir for usmle step 1 my basics arent good. can i go with kaplan lecture notes for my basics or can i directly use FIRST AID

Great question. To be honest, I think either resource would be fine. The more important question in my experience is, how you use the resources, rather than what resources you’re using. It sounds like you may be starting without a super strong foundation, which is not uncommon. If you haven’t seen it (or even if you have), I’d highly recommend using this video to help you understand how to make the most out of resources like First Aid: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6Wte6OFjL5sd9ksi=uwvQ9yMRhDDWAscn
