I noticed you switched the corrupted hard drive for a new (used) hard drive. Would it be possible to switch a hard drive for SSD in this instance? I’m just starting to learn how to do my own repairs and wasn’t sure (beyond using something like PartsPicker) if there was any general rule for when you can or can’t use SSD when replacing an old hard drive.
@RestorationDivision27 күн бұрын
Hi, Thank you for watching and sharing your question. You can replace your HDD with SATA SSD. Depends on the capacity that you need, you can buy one and just make sure to connect your SSD directly to the mother board. You can check last video on the channel for inspiration and learn how to do that. It's commonly general for most of laptops.

Hello, you use foam cleaner for the plastic and the result is good but you use it also the screen ! it's ok for screen ?
@RestorationDivision2 ай бұрын
Hello my friend Thank you for sharing your question with us.❤ First of all, I should say that in general, there is no need to clean the screen with cleaning foam, and even if you don't do it correctly, it can cause serious damage. Use a very soft and clean microfiber cloth with a very small percentage of moisture to clean the screen. If there is dust and dirt on it, try to remove the dust with a soft brush. If your laptop was dirty like my laptop in this video, then you can do this by observing the safety tips and making sure that the laptop is not connected to electricity or battery and discharge the electric charge in it. Be sure to follow us for future videos. I sincerely love everyone who follows Restoration Division❤

You really did make it as good as new, and gave it a second chance. I don't understand how they could throw away such a computer, just because the hard drive was damaged. If a laptop always displays bios at bootup with defaults, it's the CMOS battery that is dead and any changes cannot be saved...
@RestorationDivision2 ай бұрын
Hello my friend. I am very happy that you shared your opinion with us and I agree with you. But your solution is correct as long as the laptop does not have a hard drive problem and Windows is correctly installed on it. What caused the BIOS loop problem in this laptop was the failure of the hard drive and its inability to run Windows. As you can see, after replacing the hard drive and installing Windows, the laptop worked without any problems and no problems were observed in its operation. I definitely suggest that you watch the video completely to the end to have a better understanding of my explanations. Finally, I sincerely thank you and invite you to join us in future videos.❤❤
