Thanks again to Raw Fury for the review copy of the game.
If you notice screen-tearing in some spots, that's totally my fault. I uh...I didn't realize I recorded hours of this video with the settings on 30FPS, or that the VSYNC option was under that very same FPS option.
Sorry again that it's not a retrospective, but I felt this game deserved more respect than spoiling it in a video. We'll be back to the retrospectives now (excluding maybe a few other simple reviews!)

Sable is basically a Women's equivalent of Male Power Fantasy: To go on an exciting all-paid-for adventure while leaving behind all your family that will do fine without you.

Sable is an incredible game and I'm so happy you got to play it. I remember the performance issues prevented a lot of people from picking it up when it first released, but I hadn't experienced such on my play through. Everything about the art, music, and overall feeling is so inspiring and calming.

I've said elsewhere that I've played very, very few perfect games. Put this in the same Perfect Bucket™ as Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Outer Wilds. They're genuine experiences. You get it. Thanks for getting it.

I loved this when I played it! I think that when it was put for free on epic games a few months ago that should certainly help it gain exposure. I can’t really comment on the performance, it ran perfectly fine on my PC but obviously that doesn’t mean it’s fine for everyone. As for the actual story and gameplay, I really don’t know what to say. It’s a really moving story, and immensely relatable to me and probably most other people who play the game. I agree with you that the fact that this is an indie game definitely does make up for a lot of the jankiness, even though it does detract from the experience for me when the game sometimes crashes when I load a new area. (That also might just be due to my using a really slow hard drive though) I never really had the feeling that the art was at all simplistic or anything like that. I love more stylized art styles like this, and the beautiful palettes and landscapes just looks great to me. Especially when you turn up the view distance to the maximum, the simple graphics almost help make it feel like an art book of some kind, which really fits with the low frame rate animations which I find to be a really neat idea. Overall, I really just loved playing through this and have recommended it to several friends. It might also just be me but I know that I have spent much more than 10 hours in the game and I barely feel like I’m 1/3 of the way through. There’s just so many cool little things to see and explore, I feel like when I first played breath of the wild, constantly discovering new things.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely not very far given the hours I have spent in the world (though I feel like the falling asleep thing kinda skews that a bit, haha!) I agree though, I think it's easy to spend a long time in this game without realizing it. It draws you in and next thing you know it's another hour later. As for the graphics I didn't mean simple in an insulting way, more of a detail oriented way. Like seeing them at first maybe implied there'd be a lot of little details left up to interpretation, yet then you enter a room or a ship and there are a ton of objects there inside, fleshing it out.

I absolutely adore this game. I will say it does literally have a direct equivalent of Korok seeds though, which anyone who plays the game will know about;)

@@SolemnSunday the only two things I can help about is: Don't expect any increase in views from one video. It doesn't really work like that. I've seen channels getting millions of views, and their video get only 2k out of that. Which is of course good, but it means that your 100k rainworld masterpiece won't bring much views... And secondly: we sadly live in an unfair world. So to gain any popularity you *will* need to use KZbin's algorithm at your advantage. I know it's hard to switch from half a hour long summaries every so often to 8 minute video every week, but I've seen that you could do that. Bro, you *deserve* attention, and *have to* get it.

@@shawermus Oh I know! I don't worry about it too much. It's just my hobby, and I just like making videos so I pretty much just do whatever I want and if it gets views it gets views. I think that's the best way to look at it! I appreciate the in-depth response regardless. Sharing the video to relevant communities always helps me out too, since a lot of places don't allow *self*-promotion exclusively, so if you're a part of any communities that would like it by all means, share away!
