Her house was always special because it was "the house", but now it will be extra special to her because you added your heart and love to it. I love that the house is under construction chaos, and yet the linen closet at the of the hallway is perfectly organized 🤩 The updates so far are beautiful, and I cannot wait for the final reveal. I’m updating my parent’s home as well. I replaced the doors and removed the popcorn ceiling and it has made a huge difference in the overall look of the house. When people first walk into the house the first thing they say is that it looks sooo much brighter. I can’t wait until I update the kitchen.

I was so excited to see an update on your Grandmothers home! I and with you on the subject of white ceiling fans. We moved into our home me 9 years ago. We had 4 ceiling fans that made the home seem to have a split personality. They ranged from a Hunter green and acrylic art deco style, an antique brass and white fluted cups and bright gold brass with opaque and clear floral pressed glass collar with up lighting. We changed out the 3 all identical white that blend into the ceiling. The eat in kitchen fan was removed and a smaller sized chandelier that matches of dining room light room was installed.

Looking good, Nikki! Having a ceiling fan in each room is a great idea, especially on hot days. White really makes each room appear bigger. Looking forward to the completion and the big reveal. I know you and your team are going to kill it. I know your aunt is excited just as much as your are!

That artwork seems a little contemporary for an older woman, along with such a dark wall. Older folks tend to desire bright white walls due to aging eyesight.
