What’s the reason why you decided to try variable again besides how pretty the clubs are (sorry didn’t listen to the podcast)? I game one length and thinking variable lengths may help me get the ball higher on the longer irons but I love the consistency with OL

Podcast coming later this week no worries! Honestly the main reason why I wanted to try variable length was solely because I spent 1k on my nice fitted Wilson clubs and wanted to give them one more go. They definitely "feel" better because they are forged as opposed to my cast OL irons. However, I found out pretty quickly that my Orlimar one lengths perform better and they are more consistent/forgiving. I think if you are trying to get the ball higher on the stronger lofted irons maybe try a OL hybrid? Cool to see other OL gamers out there!

@@GolfParfection funny you bring up the OL hybrid… that’s HARDER for me to get up in the air. Typically shot is a low hook. Otherwise the other irons are just fine. Maybe it’s user error 😂 Would love to get a round in with ya. Let me know if you ever end up in the NJ area!

Hey man like ya vlogs! Aussie here I’ll be in the area early January what courses you recommend in the area 100us or cheaper a day
@GolfParfection2 жыл бұрын
If you can get on to cinnabar or corica that would be my recommendation. Golf is a little expensive here so on the cheaper side where the course is great if say Calippe or Santa Teresa. Also it really depends in the bay area you will be. Enjoy your trip!

I got to say that the interesting thing about Santa Teresa, which I love to play, is that it is a tale of two courses. It would be interesting to see you play the variable length clubs at San Jose Muni where it is the same throughout the entire round. With that said it was fun to watch. Looking forward to the next one. Great job Matt.

Would you ever consider changing your entire swing, if it meant you'd become a single digit handicap player?

Absolutely

Good video. You should check out some P790s / i500 / MP 225s or something along those lines. Also, I think your putter let you down more than the Wilson’s on that round…

You're not wrong about the putter 🤣

Would you consider one length for approach irons (5 -9) hybrids for fairway shots (3, 4), and standard wedges (P, A, S)?
@GolfParfection2 жыл бұрын
I think the main draw for one length is consistency of setup through the majority of the bag. From 3 hybrid all the way to my gap wedge I am using one length. The only non one length clubs I have is my 2 hybrid (which is my 3 wood), Driver, and sand wedge. Other than that I don't see a huge benefit of putting a combination of some variable and some one length clubs in the bag but it could work for you! That is what is crazy about this game there are too many options and only so much money to try things out haha.
