What the other guy said. New fuel is terrible, even leaving it for a couple of months can give you issues. Etanol is hydrophilic so it quickly gets moisture and water in it.

Ethanol mixes with water, so any water that gets in to the fuel will find its way in to the fuel system, and will cause corrosion, misfires and other issues in both carburetor and injector engines. Also, ethanol "dries out" any and all rubber parts in the fuel system. In addition, the ethanol evaporates over time, but the additives in modern fuels do NOT so if you leave fuel in the engine, all the combustible elements (The stuff that goes "boom") disappears, and what is left is a kind of chemical sludge that will plug up fuel jets and injectors.
