Speaking of the camera, I noticed in earlier seasons (haven't noticed it as much so far), they would often have "negative space" in the frame, as in, the characters are a little off center in the frame, which at best is unsettling and I'm sure was completely intentional. In most horror movies, when something is going to appear from off screen, they'll do this. It was a really effective piece of cinematography, IMO.

I am no expert but I am trilingual and have lived in many countries and worked in multicultural teams. No matter how fluent people are in a second or subsequent language, they tend to still revert back to their mother tongue for example when counting numbers or sums of money. When startled, people tend to scream out a phrase in their native language etc. Therefore, it isn't too weird for her to say her final words in her (presumably) first language.

I'm going to throw out a far theory here and see if it sticks, what if the reason the seasons changed was actually because of Fatima and not because of what Jim and the rest of the gang did. Him and Jade. Because suddenly she's having a huge craving for the rotten food but the rotten food didn't happen till after the seasons changed and the seasons didn't change until after all the experiments happened but if we really look at it stuff started happening after she thought she got pregnant so what if the next chapter of this thing is they're having to deal with whatever her pregnancy really is. Cuz this feels like a multi-layer test you know kind of like under the dome but with parameters instead of just mindless let's see what happens You know what I mean? Also I'd like to point out that the acting done by Boyd is incredible! I've had trauma and loss and the way he reacted to that is exactly how I felt and reacted with the initial few moments afterwards and then the hours afterwards the shock the just trying to feel normal like he nailed that trauma. Also I think the reason that Kenny's mom said it in Cantonese (The subtitles said Cantonese I believe but I'm not positive) was that if you just said it in English Kenny just might have thought oh well Boyd's just saying that to make me feel better but boy repeating something that there's no way he could have known or been able to come up with himself proves that he was there in those last moments and he was being he wouldn't know those if his mom wasn't there encouraging him you know they weren't there together so to speak that type of thing like it's not his fault He's there to help you now You need to take care of him that kind of thing

Honestly, it was probably difficult for Tian-Chen to translate in that moment with everything that was going on so easy to speak in her mother tongue. We know that she doesnt speak English very well and she probably hoped that Boyd would remember her words by repeating them throughout the torture.

That’s why Victor stopped seeing the boy in white; the boy couldn’t feed on Victor’s pain. like when Randall wasn't scared, and the nightmare creatures walked off. The rendez- move and "the box" are one and the same. but both are in the town, one is from the last loop , there gonna de claw the nightmare creatures . They need to make a talisman fence like the cabins to protect the animals. The cabbages are winter crops and are located near the water, so they don't need watering. They will go to seed after two years and spread seed along the riverbank. same with most crops.

I think Mrs. Liu said her last words in Cantonese is because she automatically switch back to her native language because she can't focus due the Pain, shock and suffering. I think it was not only to make the scene more emotional. I worked in cruise ship wherein different nationalities are on board and I noticed this with other people, whenever they get surprised or spooked they would automatically switch to their native language to tell the they got surprised and most moment they would curse in their native language. and me too.

I just rewached that scene, and you can clearly see that the other lady talking with Fatima, can easily open the door when she leaves Fatima (eating rotten crops) !! Like everyone else hooked on this show, I love to hear other peoples thoughts and theories. I have my own, but it’s great to hear things other people caught that I missed sometimes. But, unfortunately, there’s a million and one “theory” videos that are 17 minutes of recap of a show we all already watched with a thought or two thrown in. This video, even though addressing Fatima eating rotten food, completely missed more important and telling detail of Fatima not being able to open the door to Colony House. They deliberately let us hear that the girl who just apologized for the bathroom incident opened the door with no problem. It was not locked. And what else can’t get in if the doors are closed and the talisman is up? It’s much more likely that her “baby” is a monster and not Fatima herself. As far as actual theories go, this falls in line with whatever is behind all this not only has them at physical risk, but also goes after them on a personal level. Fatima and Ellis dared to get married. Dared to find some kind of happiness and now “it” is mocking them. Just like the radio playing “Celebrate” was mocking Kenny. The “ghosts” impersonating dead characters give those who see them terrible advise. The “night monsters” somehow knew that Boyd said “You don’t break me” in the forest and actually devised a plan to mock him for it. When Jade and Jim built the tower a storm came out of nowhere to ruin it, and a voice spoke to him about what his wife is doing in the basement. It made a house fall on him. Now his dead son is calling on the phone. When Boyd went to seek a way out he brought back something new and worse. Voices told Sara to kill people to get out. I know everyone knows this. The point is it’s all intentional. Deliberate. Intelligent. What we don’t know yet is why and how. But it resembles a game or a contest. The problem is these people wandered in the middle of it and don’t know the rules or how the pieces move. Like how Kenny described his dad with chess.

This episode kinda sucked ass. Boring as hell and slow. Lotta pointless dialogue scenes that just came across as forced. Still no real answers or any clues to answers and no action. 2/10

I no longer watch the show from a rational viewpoint anymore. The viewers are not given enough information to make sense of what is happening with the story which is why there are so many predictions about what in the world is going on. It appears that many enjoy the show for the purpose of making assumptions and are ok with the bread crumbs the writers leave us with throughout the seasons. I am NOT a fan of this approach at all. Putting aside my discomfort in how I would typically enjoy experiencing the show, I believe the show is tapping heavily into a more spiritual/ancestral/symbolic way of making sense of exactly what is being shown to the viewers. What am I attempting to say? In short, the colors of the rainbow show prominently in the clothing of the characters, the main ones, the houses, and in the "outside" world of Camden Maine(if you go back to last episode and consider the colors on the buildings in the marketplace Tabitha stumbled upon, and the houses that led up to the color of Victor's family home(which is the same color of the Matthews home in "Fromland"). I believe if the characters truly believe AND lean into the hope of returning home, BY ACTUALLY TALKING WITH ONE ANOTHER AND TAKING A PROACTIVE APPROACH AT FIGURING THINGS OUT, maybe they can click their ruby slippers and find themselves Somewhere Over The Rainbow...........
