I think combat exposure should be limited, but if it isn’t say because there is just a lack of operators, the VA needs to start considering cutting edge treatments for TBI’s and PTSD like MreT, TMS, psychedelic therapy etc. They just need to get over their hang ups and take care of people.

I've noticed that most SEALS and or SF you interview all had low GPA in high school. It's interesting for me even because I had just the bare minimum in school grade wise to be accepted into law school at Georgetown. I ended up 18 years as an Army JAG lawyer however, my first 6 years was enlisted as a MP at Stewart & Drum
@vitigaymer1053
@vitigaymer1053 Жыл бұрын
I had mediocre High School GPA mainly because I was super unmotivated. When I actually made it into a Comp Sci program at Uni(by the skin of my teeth). That completely changed because I was in a subject I loved. I assume that if you wanted nothing other than to be SEAL/SF etc from a young age. You're basically on autopilot during school and focusing more on conditioning your body for BUDS/Selection/RASP.

We are friends but he is still suffering in silence although has curtailed some of the drinking. The Vietnam combat vets had no help and were not appreciated when they returned home. As with the Maureens based on West Coat, did the fact that you didn't want to leave your West Coast homies and Mama have influence on joining the Navy? Midwest guys can't wait to get the hell away and preferably out of the country! Myself, from Chicago area, volunteered Abn, S E Asia and was sent to Germany!

@1:00:44 wholly unacceptable to have zero physically therapy in 2005 after the decades of Vietnam vets suffering unnecessarily from the same crap. They damn well knew this well before 2005. That’s exactly the shit that really pisses me off. My dad and a significant amount of his friends all lived lives filled with chronic pain because the government wanted to be cheap. I guarantee you this man’s pain would be 90% less today if he’d had adequate physical therapy for a year following his injury. What’s really stupid is the government paying for that year of therapy is FAR less expensive than the maintenance costs for the chronic injury problems caused by not receiving the therapy. The George W Bush admin was a ship of fools.

-22:40 answer by Andy is the best answer I have heard and also the easiest to understand and relate to…I think the cultural problem we have today is there is no search for truth but search for stories…if we don’t find a way to turn this mindset we are doomed as a society

Do you realize how much more information is out there now for people to sort thru versus 1991 or 1999? Cmon man. You can try and act like people back then were gdamn prophets of truth or some crap like that but thatd be a total load of shit.

I wish they had asked more questions about specific differences between conventional seal teams and seal team six. Andy said it was everything he thought and hoped being a seal would be. So being a seal wasn't what he thought it would be? I'd like to have heard more about that.

I had to hip replacements on one side and waiting to get the other done . I jumped a wall with my kit and I had arthritis n I didn’t know but I crushed the ball when I landed . I was conventional army 11b my kit was like 90 lbs that was the end of my run . I get what he said about the nerve in the ankle for me it felt like my Achilles was on fire oh it’s not bad now you usually get that when you first injured it and after surgery

On the peer reviews, how are the instructors able to determine which ones are students trashing someone because of personality conflicts or jealousy or lie on another student for whatever reason and which ones have merit? Almost everyone has seen times where a whole group of people will get together and really just trash someone, especially when it’s anonymous, just because they were always excelling at everything.

I don't know if there's ever been anyone cooler and more down to earth to announce themselves as a Richard Marcinco SEAL Team 6 member. Seriously appreciate this guy. His demeanor makes me smile. Guys a MF'ing DAWG, and always a hype intelligent conversation to listen to. LOL! I did delayed entry too..and completely think the same thing. But coming out of bootcamp an E-3 pay grade does matter. But no one could ever explain my "WHY" for enlisting in the Navy and taking that path. Andy is about a year before me. I wish I would have met him when I was there. don't know how you feel about it. but you need tp do a podcast with Shawn Ryan. You're an awesome human being. More people willl trust get it once they listen to you. You've saved a lot of lives man. Your delivery of facts is soooooooooo honest most people don't realize it. Ive watched what I think is almost every single podcast Andy has done Rogan on down the line. This is almost certainly the most honest full forward interview ive ever seen him done.
