Hey everyone, just want to give a huge apology for the speed of uploads recently, and the lack of variety on the channel, between various real life issues going on in the background right now It's been a bit of a struggle to motivate myself to try and sound happy and enthusiastic during videos which has resulted in me binning over 3 videos this week already when trying to record, along with this FtD is by far the one game I can put the most 'off camera' work into such as design work and testing new ideas for the future so this has led to far more FtD than anything else by a far too large margin. It by no means is an excuse, but It certainly is something that will go away and get better over the next week or so! So expect far more regular content with a far greater variety over the next week+! Thank you all for being so darn awesome and patient so far despite this , always raises my spirits to see all of your comments!! ...On the upside, I now have a new baby gecko called Charlie - He is adorable, thought you all should know..

Harbinger Autumn log# 1572: After the Geiger counters went off near the west outposts we soon discovered Lathrix has attacked the weakened Striders. I also believe that he has completely crippled the former empires remaining navy as they have lost one of their elite strike subs and two of their main capital ship Thyr 55 and 56. As he slowly surrounds us we will be destroyed and there is nothing we can do about it.

Steel Striders aren't allowed to use offensive lasers, though they have a few units with PACs as you saw in the last video. First battle has you against two of the biggest SS units we have. The Thyr is their 80 FP godly. Also, SS loves missile spam. The fragment model was changed from spherical to a tetrahedron in the 2.0 patch.

Log #75 from the holding cell aboard The Merciless Death, a Despoiler-Class Chaos Battle-cruiser, in high orbit of Neter. Three weeks ago, on my last log, i detailed plans for the imminent departure of Neters orbit. As we were preparing to enter the warp on our cumbersome research ship, Three Despoilers and a Desolator emerged from the warp a mere 25 kilometer away immediately, with the help of their on board psykers, the overwhelmed our ship, and killed everyone but myself, and my first mate. He is in the holding cell across from me, being tortured by Fallen Inquisitor, a terrifying man who calls himself The Tickler. I am next to be tortured, and though we have long given up all information we know, they will torture us intl death. I am to be dedicated to Khorne, while my First Mate will be sacrificed to Nurgle. Our cators are very certain of our remaining here, and the inevitability of the fall of this planet, a result I too, am assured of. Thus, they have allowed me to write this log, and send it to headquarters. Little good it will do. The Bloodthirster of Khorne, Lathrix, has expanded to control roughly 2/3's of the planet. When his borders touched his old Ally, as I predicted he would, he simply attacked, and claimed their resources. What astounded me was the speed by which this was accomplished. He did it in the matter of five days, and apparently with only one Airship, his Bloodthirster, which he has named in honor of what he is. He has begun adopting a new fleet policy, dedicating one of the ships in each of his fleets to a Ruinous Power. He will now not only have ships of Khorne, but despite being a bloodshirter, ships of Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh. Tzeentch and Khorne have long be enemies, that Khorne would allow his Bloodthirster to dedicate a ship to him does not bode well. If Chaos Undivided strikes again I doubt even the Necrons will survive. He has made a Tzeentch ship first, calling it the Changebringer, installing a lesser daemon to its mainframe and sending it out. It is fast, malicious, and deadly, though frail. It is truly a match for the Whisperer of the void, the Changer of Ways. Even as I speak, I can watch through my one window as the Steel Striders are engaging The Changebringer. i hold out little hope of The Steel Striders surviving the encunter. Imperial Command, I hold out little hope that Chaos will not encompass this world. As always, Lathrixes brutal cunning and design that have on him so many planets, and elevated him through the ranks of the Blood Gods Chosen, will carry the day. My First Mates screams are subsiding, my turn will soon come. Let it be known, that through the entire ordeal, and the terror of watching Chaos consume a planet, I have held faith, and I believe I have performed with everything that could be expected of me. For the God-Emperor! This station will no longer transmit.

I have an idea! You guys remember the little nuke things from a few episodes ago? Of course you do. Well I have an idea! You take that build, but replace the thrusters with propellers... and then stick a drill on front. Drills are very underused. At the very least, it would be cool to see lathland build a small version of this that he would pilot and during battles just drill into the bottom of ships. It would be hard to get an AI to do it by itself and hit the underside but it would still be cool for a manual build!

Redline for those to lazy to google, blue-shifting and have never wondered about "HL2 blueshift"s name meant, blueshift is what happens when something moves towards an observer at relativistic speeds, which causes light waves to be sort of compressed and shifted towards the blue end of the spectrum, so an object moving towards you at near light speed would appear to be... well... blue... So a ship that moves at extreme speeds, and uses light as a weapon, and is coloured blue is basically the perfect ship for such a name

Personal log #7: Once the Blood guard's strike force leaved the former Onyx watch territory, Me and Erika sailed toward the north west into the former Deep water guard pirates seas, it was where Lathrix started his conquest, an old abandoned wooden oil rig with a plate of metal hastily welded onto it. There was a small resource zone that was of no interest to the Blood guard, we were safe here as they won't search for us there. The oil rig was left to slowly decay along with a few half built "Khornflakes" drones, quite a funny vehicle, almost entirely made out of wood, hovering with a small propeller and carrying two missile pods attached with metal chains. Yet despite their funny appearance these tiny things wiped out half of the Deep water pirates in a single day... not surprising considering nearly all of their army consisted of wooden rafts half sinking under the weight of the cannon hastily welded onto it. To not have your changebringer crash into others. Add an automated controlblock that orders the craft to: - If enemy is closer than (let's say) ~100 - Make (for example) a sharp left turn, by firing the right steering thrusters. You can use different orders for different crafts you make like planes, subs etc... Thanks for the content PS I can't be the only one that would like to see some of the building, specially the tinkering with the PID and weaponry.

*suggestions* I don't know why, but I've suddenly had a bunch of interesting ideas for what you can build next. Here's 5 of my *ideas* *1)* you should build a boat with an accurate/powerful continuous laser to make capturing bases faster and easier you wouldn't need to waste engine power for Shields or most other things because it wouldn't be for normal combat. *2)* with all the ships you're versing with shark themed names you could build a jaws themed ram sub that would position itself under a boat then rise to strike directly underneath it. *3)* since it's been a while since you've used harpoons, you could make a harpoon/winch submarine that drags flyers and boats underwater. *4)* you could build small defense bots that circle around your bigger ships and heal them and/or defend them by being a dedicated anti-munition system. *5)* you could also make another speedy craft with a few large EMP and/or explosive missiles (I like the idea of having both) designed to destroy/disable enemy weapon systems.

I know its a bit late for ideas on the 4 god ships but hear me out. think of a ship like the iron gate, but instead of 2 pods linked try one in a center with four others at 90degree angles from it. maybe on a rotating center cylinder body for the middle one so the other 4 slowly spin. each with the sign of their respective gods and unique weapon systems for each.

Having not seen the Steel Striders designs before this campaign, I'm really loving them. I might have to ste- I mean, conduct some covert operations to 'liberate' some of these designs from the oppressors of the people inside of the territory controlled by the Steel Striders. (Currently chasing after a Dark Current in the sandbox mode on a hastily constructed water skimmer which was originally intended to be an aircraft but the player controls don't like the new elevators and rudders, apparently.)

You should make a non-weaponanized version with high control and incredible speed and maybe a huge harpoon that is fast, has lots of fuel, and high maneuverability ( about the size of a cruise mussel or about 1 and a half in size). Basically, a leach that won't let go and kill you with time! Just some ideas!

In modern naval warfare ships aren’t made to take a hit. They probably could take one missile but they mainly protect themselves with countless different countermeasures, many with overlapping responsibilities. So the Steel Striders being so countermeasure heavy makes sense.

After a certain cost I feel obliged to make sure my larger designs can beat the Thyr one-on-one, and even with a lot of thought and effort they can't always. Lathrix just rolls up and beats two in one episode without knowing what they are. Lol, seriously impressive! :-)

Would you try the EMP particle cannon? I am very new to FTD but I believe it would work very well as a shieldbreaker based on a littlebit of testing I did. May or may not work out for you. I would like to see more of the particle cannon in the future.

My gripes with the Tzeentch design is that speed is more Slaanesh's thing, whereas Tzeentch should rely on shields (for instance, his mark on the tabletop provides a +1 to your invuln save iirc) and because tzeentch likes to manipulate things from a safe distance, his weapons would probably focus more on range. It is however, an amazing design that I'm a huge fan of.

Lath, you should name the new craft after a shark. If sharks stop moving, they sink and die no matter what. Unlike usual fish, they do not have glands with air in them that keep them afloat. That's why you never see a live shark just sitting there.

+Lathland I think that for the Slaanesh element, (since he's the god of excess) you should build something with an excess of weaponry, so something like a massive swarm missle cruiser or a hover craft with a hell load of max gauge CRAM cannons, or something like that

Ooh, definitely this. Actually, I think a missile swarm would work best, given how flashy it would look when all those missiles launch at the start. I also submit that the Khorne vehicle, whatever form it ends up taking, should have melee weapons, and try to charge at enemies. Perhaps backed up by an advanced cannon utilizing flak for AA, or to emphasize the overwhelming assault. I actually think the Mendragon could work for Nurgle, given its slowness, however, it should have loads of EMP weapons to fit the whole rot theme.

Lathrix when it said "Lasers are going through your own smoke" if the medringard has smoke(can't remember if it does or not) it thinks that the laser defence lasers are normal lasers and they were going through the smoke also hope things get better.

It was actually giving me the message from the enemy ship as I was still locked into it (Pressing V was bringing it up, rather than the water skimmer) - The smoke from the airship hadn't actually been triggered in that battles, just a weird thing haha ^^

Lathrix, this idea might not even be possible...but how about making an orbital ship, but not just some super laser weapon, but a citadel looking ship with massive cannons that can bombard the planet with them and long range missiles.

Have you thought of making a craft that it's sole purpose is making small boarding craft? Or a Warship that can spawn capture rockets/skiffs/subs/boats

Hey Lath, how do harpoons work? Can they pull an enemy hard enough to say make it airborne/pull subs out of water and make them airborne. A thruster craft with enough mass and power to pull such enemies and the AI to pull it high into the air. Would make torpedoes a bit redundant but meh, easier to hit something that can't actually move in the air, only problem is to compensate for the erratic movement of a hanging ship.

Changebringers definitely need a few rams on the nose in case that happens. A hit like hat would have turned half that ship to jelly.

As much as these Change Bringers are ramming enemies, I'd say you should consider either Rams or Rubber. And don't worry about the upload speed. Real life can be rough, and FTD takes a long time to do anything in.
