The laser designator on the hauler does work, but it kept getting blown off in the opening volleys, also the missiles kept firing before the AI had time to point the laser so little thing throwing them off. Suppose I should go try to add more armor to the Doomcannon's AI compartment in the meantime.

If you ever do another series of FTD, perhaps you could consider this idea just to shake things up a little. Think of it like progressing through the game by stealing your enemy's technology: -You create one starting vehicle. This vehicle can be spawned as many times as you like and can be changed/upgraded throughout the game, however at the start of the game, you can only equip it with advanced cannons. Any changes you make to this vehicle must be universal. You cannot have different variations of it. -The only other vehicles you can spawn are ones you have captured from enemies, and you can upgrade them so long as you do not change them too much. Once you've captured an enemy vehicle once, you can spawn it (and variations of it) as many times as you like. -Capturing enemy vehicles also unlocks any weapon that they have equipped. For instance, you cannot use missiles until you capture an enemy vehicle that is equipped with missiles. Same rule applies to every other weapon. Once you unlock a weapon, you are free to use it as many times as you want. -You cannot use shields until you capture an enemy vehicle that is equipped with shields. -You can only convert your starting vehicle to a flying vehicle if you have captured an enemy flying vehicle before, and you can only use the methods of flight that the enemy flying vehicle has. For instance, you cannot use helicopter blades until you capture an enemy vehicle with helicopter blades. Same rule applies to jet engines and any other methods of flight.

Just a tip on belt fed loaders. If you have some with one amo clip and some with two clips stacked, the ones with two amo clips stacked will still be firing while the ones with one are reloading, so you get the best of fire rate and continuous firing

Idea: To solve the heartstone annoyance, make a small helicopter-drone which stays out of combat, but when called (idk how) it hovers over the players head.it should be electric powered by taking energy from nearby allies, and if possible, lua scripted to follow player at any height or space

I think you should have given the hauler's harpoons a try after changing the targeting just to see what it can really do. Also rather than scrapping all your old defenses you should move them up to the enemy base resource zone you just took.

Hey Lathrix! In all of your experience with FTD, have you ever had a problem with big lag spikes when blocks change? Whenever I build on or lose blocks on my bigger ship (Length: 260 Blocks: approx 17k) the game becomes almost unplayable with 2-5 second lag spikes every couple blocks added/removed. Is this normal? My PC should not be the problem, I have a quadcore @3,40GHz and FTD only uses around 2-3GB of my 16GB RAM Thanks in advance!

In FtD pls do a small fast plane that replicates itself and jis replicas also replicate itself. I modified Twin Guards Sneek to do so and OMG. after 10 minutes I ended up wih 32 Sneeks. Two next and there are 64 sneeks. You will make a chain reaction like in pleague inc. evolved

I think You Need a flyer, something that would take up little space would be a blimp but it wouldn't be very good at defending its self unless you make it able to sail as well. the only other thing you could do is a helicopter or a plane, but with those most of the volume will go to propulsion and stability. with a blimp/zeppelin, you could pack heavy guns onto it and they can have a good about of recoil. also, it could be good for propaganda purposes. just think, for a few extra bucks you can preach the word of the lathrixian empire. but that's just my opinion, maybe you like flyers more? Maybe Their more cost effective. I don't know.

FTD is actually getting the Unity engine updated this week. It'll be much smoother and easier to run. You don't need to buff it that much, but it is cpu intensive right now.
