So here's what I think the name and lore could be! The Scrap Roach During the war between the Scrappers and the Twin Guard, many generals found themselves fascinated by the Twin Guard's drone technology. Nicknamed "Mice" by the soldiers, the small Skid C drones would often accompany many larger Twin Guard vehicles and support these in combat. Astounded by the idea, scrapper generals commissioned engineers and inventors to come up with something that could fill the same niché as the Twin Guard's drones. During a food shortage brought on by cockroach pests, engineers experienced what many call a "eureka moment". Studying the sporadic movement of cockroaches and inspired by their anatomy, the scrap roach was born. A lightweight and disposable multipurpose unit, capable of reconnaissance, scouting, support, repairwork and anti-air fire, the scrap roaches quickly made their way onto smaller defensive fleets against Twin Guard skirmishes as a distraction unit. As an added bonus, the drone requires no input from a pilot outside of turning it on or off and instead runs entirely on its own. One main complaint by users of the prototypes however is that the drone prints every single thing it does to paper in the fleet mothership. This includes every time it turns, fires a bullet, deploys flares, reloads, everything. Everything it does is printed to paper. This was a holdover from when engineers were debugging the vehicle and making sure it works, however it is highly unlikely that this feature will be removed. Engineers are now biting their nails, praying that the design is approved by their generals for mass production and will see its way onto the central offensive lines.

Name it the Cockroach. inspired by it's size and random movement. it was designed be scrappers who wanted the "mosquito" experience but with a higher survival rate. With better armor it makes up for its slightly slower speed and less damage for a higher dps. An alternative the would still play the "That little pest" role for harder battles

I have stopped using 2 axis turrets. I find that putting an elivation turret on top of a 1 axis turret works better, is easier to armor and looks so much better. I recomend this for almost all uses where you would use a 2 axis or a turret subdrone.

You should add the IFF onto any missile system which fires buoys, as without one your own missiles can be distracted by them. Also consider tacking on a few of the simple cannons as chaser guns, they have really high base damage. 9000 from the small, and 15000 from the large, but low AP. Anyway, that's a neat little cockroach ya got.

I did add IFF but just didn't show it in the video - So I agree there haha! As for the simple cannons I do adore them (Hence why the Plague Guard in the Neter series had 50 on both sides!) But just wanted something completely different ^^

a law for this vehicle: it was actually used for a game show, like battle bots, and this bot was particularly popular for its showy light show. so popular that they built thousands of exact working replicas. however, since the war between all nations broke out the show ceased production. near the end of the war, the military asked for cheap, disposable, bots (as a distraction) and this vehicle fitted the guide lines perfectly

thanks for the vid! for a name: *Cockroach* would work nicely - tough, low to the ground and annoying as hell ^.^ and please let me give some feedback on and suggestions for the craft: a) buoy holders do not need to be connected to anything in order to be able to fire the corresponding buoy missiles. they only need an AI connection for use as remote sensor platform. In fact having them connected to the AI muddies the crafts sensor data pool by adding tons of low accuracy sensor data, potentially overwhelming the higher accuracy data. b) I personally prefer [variable thruster 50/fuel - radar buoy/flare] upward facing single ejector decoys. the end up going to space and will drag just about all turreted or vertically launched missiles up and far enough of so they have neither the sensor arc nor the fuel to reliably re-acquire any viable target. c) one ammo box regenerates 1 ammo/s. one ammo processor creates 10 ammo/s for 0.1 material/s. one simple auto cannon uses 10 ammo every 3 seconds, thus roughly 3.4 ammo per second. that means your 12x simple autocannons need about 40 ammo/s ... sorry if that list is a bit impersonal, I'm a bit pressed for time right now -.-'

Enter the Locust Scout buggy. This little vehicle fulfills that role while also providing the combat forces some assistance in battle. Which is a Win win in the eyes of the Foreman.

*Name:* Tick *Lore:* Rumor has it that the original Tick was based on an improvised Onyx Watch tank built on a farm tractor's chassis. As the Onyx territory fell and most civilians fled, one retired soldier decided to make a last stand at his homeland. Despite its simple weapons, the machine was nearly impossible to kill, and even after its control systems had been shot to pieces, its defiant builder emerged unscathed from the wreckage. After his eventual surrender, the former Onyx soldier was welcomed into the Scrapper army as an engineer to replicate his armor designs. A rather uncommon sight among the typically weapon-laden behemoths fielded by the Scrapper Nation, the Tick is a small but surprisingly hardy scout vehicle in the vein of the Mosquito, often seeing use against far more powerful foes. Where the Mosquito relies mostly on its speed and erratic behavior to keep it alive, the Tick has developed a reputation for surviving attacks that should have destroyed it many times over. Armed with basic anti-missile countermeasures and as many automatic cannons as could be bolted together from available scrap metal, the Tick certainly doesn't pose much of a threat to armored enemies, though the reverse is also true. Surprisingly heavy armor for its small size keeps the Tick alive, even as explosions batter and toss it about. The Tick is rarely seen by itself, instead distracting enemies while backline forces bombard them to smithereens.

Hey Lath, on simple weapons here's a bit of info on ammo costs (1 ammo box = 1 ammo per second): Any missile needs up to 6 ammo per second (this is because as they get bigger and pricier they also take longer to reload). The bigger they are it gets closer to 5.2 ammo/s. Of course, after a certain size you actually need more than 6 ammo boxes because the missile costs more than 600 ammo to reload. That's 24 gantries btw. Autocannons need 4 ammo boxes to run constantly. (10 ammo every 9 seconds, 3.4 ammo/s) Large Cannons need 7.5 ammo per second for constant fire. So your 8 autocannons + 2 flares need 8*3.4 + 2*6 = 39.2 ammo per second. Or 40 ammo boxes for completely free constant fire. On a side note, each ammo processor counts as 10 ammo boxes for ammo regen, and occupies a fifth of the space. We had a simple weapons tournament running on reddit a while back, people dug up plenty of info.

Nice build ^^ Name and loresugestion: The The rapide outright anoying combat harvester, or Roach as the testpilots skittishly named it, was the harvesters latest atemt to build a cheap and still efective ground to air resistancevehikle. The frame wich was harvested from a broken down suplyingvehikle alowed a suprizingly high amount of armor without hindering it's movabillity. It actualy allowed so much armor that it ended up hindering the turret from reaching higher angles, but the added durability showed new potential uses, as the prototype was able to sourive a direkt hitt by a stray heavy artilleryshott wich should had blasted the Roach and its crew into pices. The high speed and oughtright ridicilouse turning of the Roach makes it extremely dificult to manover, but kombied with it's durability this might end up as a great benefitt. As the eradic movement is a double edged sword, the engineers desided not to instal advanced weaponery, and instead swiched to much more basic autocannons wich simply rain clouds of ledd upon enemy troops. I love the idea of these little guys! Having two or three of them at a time, bolstering the forces of your army in battles while peppering dozens of tiny shots into the enemy sure fits them well, and that tiny compact design is adorable! (I do wonder why they seem to move so far away from the enemy, though... it looks to me like it's fighting at about the range of your longer vehicles like the dismantler.)

(First lore attempt) "Tac Raider" Tac as in Tactical and Tac as in Tack. Though the scrappers attempt to use every last centimeter of salvage, twisted metal and burnt-out rubber can sprinkle the scrapyard after a large job. These little remnants become a minor nuisance over time, eventually popping tires and pricking scrappers' feet. After observing a battle with the twin guard "baby drones," and seeing how annoying they were, the scrappers were reminded of the scrapyard and decided to combine the two. The scrappers captured a twin guard drone and converted it into a tactical nuisance with reckless AI and weaponry. Designed to be, and I quote, "a pain in the butt," the Tac Raider drone uses an array of sloppy autocannons loaded with previously unusable debris (tacks). The drone then showers the enemy in particles of scrap, poking and chipping through armor. If the enemy focuses on the drone, the chaotic AI, repair bots, and flares will ensure the tiny craft will survive to draw the most fire away from the scrapper tanks and flyers. Even once destroyed, the chassis of the Tac Raider can be ground up and easily used as ammo for other Tac Raiders.

Conscript In the new age of the Scrappers, it became necessary to retire old mainstay craft and replace them with modern designs. Where before only the most daring of pilots would drive the Mosquito, the new AI controlled Conscript was selected to replace the ancient wooden missile carrier when it was destroyed in the Ritual of Bloodletting. Conscripts were envisioned to act as support primarily for the Pharaoh heavy tanks, which is why they are the exact opposite. Where the Pharaoh is large and fired precise, destructive shells, the small Conscript throws hails of lead rapidly. This is why the Conscript is named after the workers of a long dead society, ever the servant for the Pharaoh.

why don't you make a craft that stays as far back from the battle as possible with as much defenses for itself, without making it too expensive, and has minimal weaponry to defend it self, but the purpose of the thing is to supply all nearby vehicles with ammo, materials, and energy with's it's huge storage and production. (pretty much a mobile base/outpost that vehicles normally resupply or store excess just it follows them) this way you can also have the actual combat vehicles have smaller ammo, batteries, and storage to decrease the risk of explosion damage and loss of resources when it gets hit. (and reduce the costs for them a bit)

Is it possible to give them some sort of hive mind? then they could work together as a unit! it would be sooo cool. and the lore for that could be that, they worked like ants together with no king, queen or anything to guide them. (almost like the minions now that I think about it) and then, after scrapping, they maintained their old AI to some extent and still feel obligated to work together. The engineers of the scrapper clan were have trouble getting The crafts to work for them until they realized, the little crafts were interacting and working together, trying to escape the testing facility, so they modded the AI of these little crafts to fit their purpose in the clan. and gave them a leader in the form of a larger craft that helps make decisions for them. wow that took way too long to write, anyway, hope you appreciate the lore that I spent FAR too long writing!

Hey lath, perhaps you should add downwards thrusters to the front of your tanks. Because i noticed that a land vehicle tends to do a "wheelie" when it goes fast enough, so the front wheels stop touching the ground. Therefore meaning it goes slower, but since the thrusters push it down. It wont wheelie. So you get the full potential out of the wheel. and the "20 wheels only thing" is actually a lie. Hopefully this also helps other people make their tanks go faster too.

Name: Maggot Lore: Arisen from the hulking scrap pile of fallen enemy machines come the Maggots. Small, agile, and erratic drones creeping about hunting for more material to consume. Don't get too close, for when there is one Maggot you see, there are five more you don't. They tear down opponents bit by bit by showering them with small heated chunks of metal in great quantity. Thus dissolving the weakest bits of enemy craft first, allowing them access to the tender innards of opposing A.I. cores. Though a single Maggot can be squashed with relative ease, they are legion and will devour all in their path.

Lathrix on your showcase vids could you use the battle score from qualification testing? (Just select 1 vehicle, go to monitor, click your tests, and wait till they all die, and the tests and you get your score if you never used it)

Lath, I have an idea for a vechicle now. Durning ww2 the germans converted their outdated tanks into tank destroyers for example pz. 38t ----> hetzer and it proved very effective so why don't you make a version of the mosquito or this new drone in which you replace all their weapons with one MASSIVE CRAM cannon.

Turning wheels are indeed cancer in FtD. Though it takes more effort, I'd suggest just using powered wheels for tank steering.
