@silvercat6425, Yes, you are absolutely correct! How many times have we heard this same sad story from many celebrities, musicians, athletes, etc. They need good lawyers, accountants, trusted financial advisors, and solid mentors. It seems they don't understand as independent contractors, they must protect their assets and set up multiple streams of income and budget, to keep money flowing during the lean times. Their jobs are based on contracts, gigs, projects, movies, etc., with no long-term guarantees! Not judging, just an observation. I love their perseverance to keep their family together!

Loved this comment...❤ I always thought as I was growing up trying to build a career "if only I was making more money things would be different.".. But it wasn't as simple as that. The higher up the socio economic ladder I climbed the more pressures around to spend money, buy nicer things, help out family, etc Basically do the things I wasn't able to do when I didn't have the money to.... It's really easy to judge ex pro athletes or entertainers from a distance for going broke since they made a ton of money(multi millions) but the reality is really different... Unless you're extremely disciplined and resolute in your spending ways, you'll end up behind the curve..

*One on One was great show and One of the best in 2000s sitcoms* Flex was great. People listen when comes to money & finances especially when you get alot of money *DON'T LIVE BEYOND YOUR EARNINGS* whetheryour actor, athlete, or construction worker. *Always keep a steady part-time job that can transfer into a full-time if your financial situation changes* like Construction, Junk Removal, Sanitation, Traffic Control, Security officer. If your millionaire and you get 10 Million you dont buy a house or car for 1 Million, you get one for 125,000 pay cash. Invest the rest in companies that you own, educate yourself on real estate, and put the rest into savings or a trust for your childern and grand children. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE spend only when necessary
