Hey everybody! I want to thank you guys SO much for alerting me about the language issue, but it is now fixed (apparently)! I was in Wicked when this video got posted so I had no idea lol!

I like the combination of plaids you used. The white lines from the two plaids sort of match, while the dominant colours contrast, and the squares are of similar sizes. I see that you took the time to align the horizontal stripes of the plaids! The dress silhouette overall is very cute. If I had to pin an era to it, I'd say "1960s mod"? It works well layered with long sleeves and tights in cold weather, but looks like it will also be comfortable as a standalone dress in the summertime. I've heard "go-day", but "go-debt" is a totally understandable way to pronounce it. If someone knows enough sewing terms to know what a godet is, they should know what you mean. I can relate to working on a project in the middle of a family gathering! I've brought handsewing projects along specifically for that purpose even when I'm not on a time-crunch to finish, just to have something to do with my hands. Ginger, brown sugar, and molasses are so great for adding gingerbread flavour. Cozy and delicious.

It’s pronounced like ‘go day’. I love your energy! The dress turned out adorable❤.

Thank you! Came here to say that. Yeah, the language robots tend to mess up on words in English borrowed from other languages.

That dress is the CUTEST!!!! It was absolutely worth it for you to put in the time on this. I've had this cute 60s style little garment in a size that I will never see again, but I really like the cut and pattern. I'm not confident enough to try to copy and resize it, but maybe I can do something like this? It was a thrift store buy years ago, so if it doesn't work, I guess it's ok. You look terrific in this dress. Thank you for providing examples of what might be possible with a little time and confidence. Absolutely going to follow you!!!

if you do a lot of thrift flips, I find that using a tailors razor is the easiest/fastest way to get serged seams open. or at the very least, a seam ripper will help! Also, your boots are so cute!!! Where are they from?
@abaigealduda27564 күн бұрын
What is a Tailors Razon???
@oneandonlyailat7 сағат бұрын
@ not sure if that’s an official name but it’s like a razor blade that’s only sharp on one side, and you use it to easily open seams. I work as a tailor professionally and every shop i’ve ever worked in has these, but to be honest I really don’t know where to buy them🤔

The end result is adorable, but I wasn't able to watch it in English (no option). The French was a little fast for me to follow, but then I could select English CC, so that worked.
@bandanarathore6 күн бұрын
Did you try settings - audio track option.
@AmyMLevy6 күн бұрын
@@bandanarathore Yep, that was the first thing I tried. At the time that I watched, I had 5 language choices and English wasn't one of them. I watch via web on a mac, if someone else has a different experience.
