I absolutely loved my long term care clinical rotation during my final semester of my NP program and looking forward to landing a position like this. So jealous 😊 For me the driving is a pro and positive for me because I LOVE to drive 👍🏾

Very informative. Gives me some ideas of what's out there for fnp. Love the schedule flexibility and that it's chronic care management with some acute for rehab.

Can you see the long-term care residents more often than once a month? Will Medicare pay for that?

Thank you for sharing your experience! Are you working under the same physician when working in primary care, rounding at the nursing home, and the hospital? I think it is a great opportunity to have the flexibility. I'm a new NP looking for opportunities...

Thanks for watching! Don't feel like you wasted your time/money, it takes time to land these NP jobs. How long have you been looking? also where are you looking? sometimes we have to take something just to get the experience we need to move on, so nothing is too little at this point.

@@fromcnatonp I have looked on job boards, with recruiters, VA, health departments, hospital outpatient departments, and schools. I am at a loss currently. I've even considered obtaining MI licenses as I have family there. I finished in September 2019 and passed boards in November and currently volunteering & health/wellness coaching.
