The action takes place during World War II. The turning point, the outcome of the war is at stake. Soviet intelligence obtained the information that Nazi Germany was just about to create the "uranium machine."
To verify the accuracy of this information, the headquarter is developing a special operation. Intelligence needs to capture a prisoner for interrogation that has access to secret data.
Meanwhile, Vlad Volny, who was recruited by the Soviet secret services and lives in Germany, was to obtain the information about the developments being carried out in the Auerge Design Office. He meets a talented physicist, a former prisoner of a German concentration camp of Polish origin, Katerina Shtur. She is a member of the group of scientists who under top secrecy solve the problem of creating nuclear weapon.

This is the best TV series in the category of WW2/scout-spy/war (I have seen almost all movies/TV series in this category that can be found on KZbin). Real, thrilling, resistance with sacrifice, choice to make, love, detective, master spy-scouts, big figure high to Beria and low to street hooligans, masterfully knitted through excellent story telling, directing, acting and production... I would appreciate it very much if someone could point me to a comparable one in the same category. Thank you very much for the caption work. Looking forward to seeing more movies/tv series of this quality in this and other categories.

try watching ww2 russian series... Hunting the Gauleitier and Spies...(not the series ..death to spies) they are both well written with good actors and wonderful scenery and costumes

Epic Media is brilliant generally but I believe it's in poor taste to support an anti-German theme. Russia needs allies, not enemies. It made a mistake in declaring WWI on Germany, and though of course it had its reasons it is paying for the mistake, ongoing.

Enough is enough already; this looks as though it might be an exciting and engaging series, as so much Russian TV drama can be. But this idiotic, arrogant thing so many Russian distributors do with the issue of multiple languages is beyond tedious. It is actually farcical, and worse than that, suggests a kind of parochial superciliousness which simply cannot be ignored, as though the audible sensibilities of their audiences could only possibly endure the sound of Russian being spoken and no other tongue. I have to admit, until seeing a few of these series butchered this way I thought I had seen and heard it all in terms of how to deal with language issues in a production: there is the lame Hollywood way of never having the cast speak the correct languages at all, usually adding insult to injury by having everyone instead affect a tortured ersatz-English accent; there is the overdubbing of an entire soundtrack, music, effects and all along with the original cast's voices, which to my mind ought to be a criminal offense and certainly makes anything this is done to simply unendurable.... But this voicing-over of actors still speaking the right language and still being heard at it, almost always by one bored-sounding person regardless of the sex of the character, who drones on in Russian as though reading a syllabus to a first-day class of freshmen - I had not realized that it was even possible to manage to insult both the integrity of a production and the intelligence of an audience, while simultaneously insulting the very concept of speaking in any other language than Russian. I can only hope these people come to grasp just how arrogant, and especially how like the very Nazi mindset of permanent and inherent superiority of a single nationality, this excruciating gimmick really is, and maybe just quit it. I personally can not sit through any more items mutilated in this manner.

Russian actors portrayed Germans in this movie. So I am not sure about the accuracy of their dialogue. Perhaps the Russian voice-over is to mask their accents. I'm not a German speaker but even I can hear that their "R"s didn't sound quite right
