Knowing how to lock in a submission in MMA is good, but knowing how to chain a few different ones together makes you a much more dangerous fighter. Coach Vince teaches you how to transition between a front headlock to guillotine and D'arce choke.

This was a great video. The useful transitions, to where you can always be a threat no matter what position. I’d love more of these videos of Submissions from each position (Top/Bottom)

Great vid! In my opinion whenever you teach the D'Arce you should also teach the Anaconda
@VinceCachero
@VinceCachero 6 жыл бұрын
I like the anaconda but going for it will take you out of the front headlock when you roll, unless they roll all the way back to turtle which doesn't normally happen. I like to just switch arm-in guillotine and d'arce to keep them locked up in the same position the whole time.

Why no Anaconda? Also, with the arm in Guillotine you can land an anaconda or D’arce depending on the persons reaction. If they successfully flip over you you can turn it to an Anaconda or roll over to your knees to get a D’arce from the top position. I personally favor the Anaconda and arm in Guillotine as I haven’t had much success with the D’arce. I learned this from Rener Gracie at a seminar I attended, very nice.

It has an awesome name. Imagine you're goint to the movies and you can choose "Anaconda choke" (some action horror with explosions) or "D'Arce choke" (historical drama?). AND you get to do a super cool aligator roll. What more do you need?
