I'm thinking of buying a c5 Corvette and removing the front sway bar, leaving the leaf springs in and just replacing the dampers with coilovers

I heard the C5 is a good platform. It would be interesting to find out how that works for you. Hagedorn Racing ran a 1:54 at Chuckwalla with his front sway bar disconnected on a solid axel mustang. That's crazy fast for a 5th gen mustang. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6SbdYqGa9h6a5o

Thanks Omar, I'll bet you can't wait to get the M4 out to the track. Buttonwillow would be great for that beautiful M car you have. Streets has too many rocks that get on the track. Unfortunately Roy's windshield was a casualty.

Nice man keep it up! Also, what kind of low pressure fuel pump are you running? It looks like it doesn't drop below 70psi at redline.

It's a bucketless parallel pump with a Holy Hydromat attached. So far no problems but I try not to let it go below 1/4 tank. The stock bucket pump is running in parallel and the Fuel-it FI-650hp bucketless comes in at around 10psi to help the stock pump.

@@DailyDriverTracking Nice, I'm thinking about getting the fuel it bucketed stage 2 pump. It's easy to replace just the pump compared to the stock one once it fails again, mine drops to 45psi close to redline.

@@in54ne82 I think that's a good choice. They scared me into purchasing the FI-650 with all the red lettering on their stage 2 pump webpage. I would have preferred a bucketed pump. At the time I didn't know you could upgrade the EKPS if the stock one fails.

So basically you don't need a front sway bar? I have an upgraded front and rear sway bar and idk if its hurting me more than its helping me.

On my car it helped eliminate understeer. My car has 50 lbs stiffer spring in the front than what 3DM recommended for the re-valved Ohlins R&T so it was a bit oversprung in the front. I had the E93 larger front sway bar and stock rear sway bar. These two things caused a spring rate imbalance which resulted in understeer even though I had -3.5 camber in the front. Because you have an upgraded rear swaybar, if you unhook the front you will most likely have major oversteer without unhooking the rear also. Ginger_Extract aka Jake Stumph suggested removing both sway bars to Alex Bernstein in his forum. www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?s=2451febfbd0b9e1df55ef928cf43d840&t=1434671&page=5 and again here. www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1434671&page=13 To test how it handles without sway bars you would just need to remove a link from the front and a link from the rear to disable the bars.

What type of Pads and Fluid are you running?

I put a new set of Stoptech Sport pads in front and Bosch Quiet Cast in rear. I went back to the Stoptech Sport in front because they did not leave deposits and cause brake bounce. Release control is better than the racing pads I've tried. Out of all the rear pads I've used the Bosch Quiet Cast have worked the best for me. Other rear pads have caused chatter, worn unevenly and caused the antilocks to come in too soon. With the way I use my stock two piston brakes some pads just do not work well. You can see the other brake pads I've used in the description of previous videos. I've been using Motul 660 brake fluid for about a year now, no issues.
