“Transgressor”
We were all born
Of the world yet to be
More than just flesh
We are souls
In the image of Thee
And as we break
We begin to rebel
When we get older
Humilities harder to sell
(Chorus)
Wide is the entrance
And broad is the way
That leads to destruction
And robs you of days
Narrow is the gate
It’s hard to endure
The road to eternal life
Transgressor
Life has a way
Of escaping us all
Before we know it we wake
And it’s wasted away
It’s harder to see
When we make a bad call
A choice that determines
Where we stand in eternity
(Chorus)
Wide is the entrance
And broad is the way
That leads to destruction
And robs you of days
Narrow is the gate
It’s hard to endure
The road to eternal life
Transgressor

There's not a single 80's hair band today that can match Stryper in terms of quality output after all these years. I mean, they just keep ascending, not resting on past successes, and have not only kept their sound, but have dramatically improved it, rather than degrading like so many other 80's bands. They are truly in a class by themselves now, and deserve a place in the Rock and Roll HOF along with the Heavy Metal HOF induction.

I've always loved metal. I am a new Christian, I was baptized about a month ago. This was the first Stryper song I listened to. This music has changed my life completely. The energy, combined with the scripture (Isaiah 53:5) they have chosen as their motto, has helped me truly understand the suffering Jesus went to as he sacrificed himself for us. Before this, I still struggled with truly putting my faith in Jesus as I am a scientifically/analytically oriented person. But the energy of this music me helped me truly understand his pain and suffering, ultimately leading to me repenting, giving myself up and offering myself as a loyal servant to our lord and savior, and praying in tongues for the first time. Those high pitched multi-octave screams (0:15) shake me to the very core of my soul. This level of energy, in the purpose of exalting Jesus Christ, is a harmonic composition which in tandem with the word of God leads to the plasmification and deliverance of my soul. Unique, exceptional, wonderful. Thank you Stryper. Thank you Michael Sweet. God bless you all.

I was a bit surprised not just at the screams, but the amount of screams, the pitches of the screams were even higher, and even longer, INSANE! A lot of these Stryper songs have to be I'm very hard to play on the guitar. So many outstanding newer riffs, especially since 2013. I think this album is more a bit power metal. All the melodies and harmonies are still there, with the outstanding background, and some stacked vocals. It's absolutely crazy, that this band is still putting out quality albums, and albums topping each prior release even! I'm going to have to say, and agree with a few people that have said, Stryper belongs in the rock 'n' roll Hall of Fame. The quality of 90% of their albums and songs, beat other bands like even the mighty Metallica, Judas Priest, and many many more. Sure the fan base is a smaller one, then all the big time metal bands, but these guys have more quality material than any other band, whether it's metal, hard rock, light rock, pop, or whatever else.

STRYPER was my very first concert EVER. The year was 1986 and it was the To Hell With The Devil tour. I was only 15. To hear them still going even stronger 36 years later is just amazing to me. Wish I could've met y'all. Keep up the great music!

I believe To Hell with the Devil was their breakout album. The track "Honestly" made it on not only Christian charts but also made it on the mainstream charts. After that, the rest is music history.

OKAY!!!! I somehow didn't know you have a new album coming, and my 16 year old daughter reminded me while she was listening to No More Hell To Pay, and I wasn't ready for this. Wow! This is like sitting in the front row thinking you guys might start showing your age, and instead, you just showed us that the power is still there, and the machine is well oiled, and firing on all cylinders. That was all muscle getting slammed back into the seat, and ready for take off. I can't wait for some more. Awesome job all of you!! God Bless!!!

One of the best ever guitar duos (Oz & Michael) just seem to get better with age! Robert is still killing it! Perry brings a massive low end rhythm section boost to everything - might be a huge part of what has made the PR era Stryper albums and live recordings awesome-er!

Frontiers should promote more this masterpiece band, and be grateful that they've choosen their channel to promote their talent. Michael's voice is one of a kind, a godfather to Bon Jovi or any other rock singer. This band has done great efforts and kept their faith into their hearts.... Their music will be listened from generation to generation. Cannot wait to meet them in person if they would come to UK. Blessings, IOEL

Barnabas, Stryken, Barren Cross, Deliverance, Believer, Saint, Resurrection Band, the Crucified Messiah Prophet etc etc.....all way harder than early Stryper. (Chill on the bands...YES I KNOW some of them were AFTER Stryper...I was saying hardness...NOT a chronological listing of bands.) "Whoaaa ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh ohhhhhhhohhh...la la...everybody." "Soldiers...sooooooldiers....under command....." "Speak of the deeeevil.....he's no friend of mine...to turn from him is what we have in mind." I'm not angry....just DO NOT agree that the old was as hard as the new.....you can swear...(on a stack of hymnals???) that it was but I think if you truly look back at old Stryper you can not arguably say it was. Also, there were lots of Christian metal bands that greased the skids for Stryper and Stryper slid right into the limelight like they were THE first ones with this idea. I had tons of albums long before "Yellow and Black Attack" (that name😬) came out, so the implication that "maybe they never heard early Stryper" really doesn't hold water. Anyway, didn't think this would get any comments, and I won't be responding after this....it's just MY opinion. I know Stryper is the holy grail to some people that think the first Christian metal chord was strummed by Oz Fox....but it wasn't. THIS new Stryper (the one I just commented on) is pretty dang good...so if nothing else, we can agree to disagree on the old, and embrace the NEW as pretty awesome and a welcome sight to new fans that have never heard of them.
