I don´t find the main issue to top the meters. FDK shines with 2+ targets. Actually the dmg is not so bad, but steady, easy predictable and easy healable. The issue is the 1v1/1v2 with equal equipped opponents.

You got a point but, with this playstyle i do have more single target burst pressure then normal. Reaping Flames when used above 80% can hit for 2 to 4k+ and below 20% 4-8k+. Also using it at these times reduces the cd to 15 seconds. Further using a minor trait to reduced the cd to further. Why the build worked so well.

@@darksword1337 I also play with reaping flames. And yes, if you kill someone with it, or he is killed shortly after you hit him with the flames, the next usage of the flames hits for 400%. With that setup I use an Vers/Mastery gear with the frostwhelp and heart. The Frostfever hits insanely hard with that, sometimes more than the obliterate per tick. Froststrikes also hit pretty hard.

Totally agree, i tested many times in beta and DK Frost is underperforming vs other classes, especially 2h. Low movility, low defensive, low dmg...Worst return ever.

@@darksword1337 Razorice yes and spark/Gettiku with 2h also, but no froststrike traits. I play with heart of darkness and Frostwelp to push stats, especially mastery in my "burst window". Inexorable Assault also scales up with mastery and versa.

We definitely can now. And in prepatch we are weaker than most due to missing out on damage until we reach 58 so i think we will be in a good spot come shadowlands. Legion it was almost impossible to not top damage. BFA it became impossible to do so. Shadowlands prepatch it’s more times top damage than not. So I’m thinking we will be “legionesque” for shadowlands. And running full mastery my frost strikes are hitting hard on prepatch. so single target isn’t too terrible at the moment.

I've made my decision and will actually be sticking with my DK as main for initial Shadowlands. Atm I'm actually playing some Unholy surprisingly, even though I generally don't like playing DK as a pet class. I'm more comfortable making DK my choice for Shadowlands since if they ruin Frost I'll at least somewhat enjoy Unholy. Just please Blizzard, do not fully ruin the return of 2h Frost. It's treatment for Prepatch already really saddened me.

Exactly.. half their burst again! 1/7ths of a templars Verdict as obliterate (1000 dmg) is way too much for Frost dks. 500 Obliterate crits are the way to go!!!!!... no wait.. they still could click sth....take all skills and abilities away and give them only white hits!
