I love learning about cultures and traditions I was not raised with. I have long been fascinated and curious to learn about my fellow humans. What better way to understand each other than to learn about the roots of our beliefs? Your channel is rapidly becoming my favorite for learning about Judaism and it’s orthodoxy. You bring out the beauty in your religion, it’s traditions and culture. Thank you for sharing this information about Yom Kippur. I see how it is a tradition of self reflection and betterment through a relationship with God, for one’s self and community. I felt such beauty in the idea of the gates of heaven being open and God listening intently to our prayers 💜 And the image of father and son praying together at the west wall as the video closed filled my heart with love. My heart was overcome with peace. Thank you my friend, again, for the gift of sharing your faith and culture. Love & Light 💜

Thank you for this insightful and meaningful video, Sara. The message is so very well done, as are all your videos. This is my first Yom Kippur and I can’t wait to spend the day in deep study and communion with our Divine Creator. What I learned as a child about the Holy Days only touched the surface. Now there is more fullness and clarity. The beautiful pictures pull at my heart and I want to weep. What a turn my life has taken in the past year. HaShem is Great and Merciful!

+Johnny Cohen this is the essence of Yom Kippur to know that we are afflicting our soul for our sins BUT G.od in His infinite mercy gave us this gift to be able to redeem ourselves as well through our prayers, fast,... can you go to shul in your city?

Sara so helpful for me, thank you! I was looking for some information about Yom Kippur, especially the Kol Nidrei prayer. To explain, my son plays the cello and was given Max Bruch's Kol Nidrei to study and I wanted to find out about it and came across your video. The composition is amazing and is using the prayers tune extensively.

Thank you for noticing the videography itself: it really means a lot to me as I try to bring new ways of editing and filming to keep everything fresh and interesting and your comment makes everything worth while i.e. spending a lot a lot of time on the editing !! If you need anything please let me know, I would love to help! Stay safe and blessed sweet fan Gurl❤️❤️❤️

Yom Kippur this year is on my birthday. I want to celebrate but I need assistance in finding people to celebrate it with. Do you have any recommendations for me ?

I have been disabled and pretty much house bound for last several years and unable to attend services at shul. So thankfully I was delighted when they begin livestreaming Shabbat and other Holy Day services such as the Yom Kippur services. Before they did, I found them livestreamed from other locations on You Tube. There are many out there from all the various branches of Judaism. I am a widow and my children are all grown and gone and my parents and siblings have passed as well. So even though I am by myself, through You Tube I can still join in as part of a corporate observance and know that I am not alone. I hope this is helpful!
