I got a Logitech yoke (and installed Windows; normally I'm all-Linux) for FS 2020. A problem I had with mine was the roll axis was centered too far left; the raw values coming from the driver in the range 0-1023 were returning in the low 400s for roll, while being at a dead-center 512 for pitch. I downloaded and used the Logitech calibration tool (from which I was able to get the above raw values and see that it was centering too far left), but it would revert after a reboot and sometimes not seem to work at all? It was a simple matter to open the yoke by undoing all the screws on the bottom, removing the bottom cover, and adjusting the roll potentiometer until it was properly centered. It's a standard potentiometer, held in place by a single collar nut; slightly loosening the nut with a wrench, or even careful work with a pliers, allows you to rotate the potentiometer until it is in the desired position. Both axes are spot-on 512 centered now, and I'm no longer having to hold right yoke all the time. Much easier than bending the aileron trim tab and test-flying on a real Cessna.

I have your same Yoke and pedals and throttle, I tried many times to find the right settings for sensivity, but I got illusional feelings, always i was coming back and still I'm to the settings for changing the sensivity, i found that even if you put -50 on X axes and Y, it wouldn't be reactive and after 20 degrees it starts to accelerate like A boost, so i found that the more stable settings is +9 that is reactive and constant in all the rotation and seems not having any acceleration passing the 20° or 25° of X rotation, then i removed a spring from the Y axes inside the controller, infact there are 2 springs one below and one above, i removed one and i put more grease into mechanical parts, especially on plastics parts, i even removed a plastic ring that avoid to exceed the rotation of the X axes, this is a double ring joint together that give a lot of friction on the axes x and y, plus i screwed two screwes on a ring that rotate attached on the metal pole for avoiding that the X axes would pass the 45° because if it would does it the wheel on the potentiometer would disingage, of course i removed the metal spring on the X axes because in a real plane doesn't exist a system for recentering the yoke because it's not a car (I'm a student private ppl pilot) so now it's free to move, after these mods I can say it's a better Yoke, I found very disappointing the logitech quality, I mean they did a great job with car steering wheels putting a forceback with little engines and thanks to the engines the feeling is so real,here instead they just put together a plastic empty with two potentiometers and nothing more, plus I don't understand why limit to 45° the X axes.

Joystick control in FS2020 is totally and utterly fucked up on most sticks on the market and the sensitivity setting do not work, it just make input lag larger... When I fly the Beach-craft 350 and turn the joystick it take 2 seconds before it reacts to a roll, (up and down works perfectly fine and linear). Also when it finally reacts it does not mimic what the joystick do, it react same as if you are using a keyboard to fly. Meaning no matter how little you turn the stick it reacts and it does not react how much you push on the stick but for how LONG you keep the stick in the position. Only way to actually fly is to use the joystick like it was a keyboard pumping it, this is just ridiculous and internet is full of people complaining about it. Some people say they have no problem at all but most say their joystick simply is unusable in FS2020 and I am one of them with my Logitech Force Feedback 3d pro. Even stranger is that all the above only is for the roll, up and down works perfectly fine and linear with no input lag... Lot of people complaining about exactly the same problem since FS2020 came out and nothing has been done to fix it. . .. . ... . .. . .. .. .
@danielecarmona4 жыл бұрын
@@a64738 I've solved going on Options, flight model, and changing from Legacy To Modern, for me now it works fine, I've reducing even a bit the sensivity but just for 13%, cause Saitek pro flight has 45° of roll angle so it makes like double any angle you roll, don't forget that a real airplane have 90° angle

@@danielecarmona Could not even take of with legacy setting lol. But I got the old stick working thanks to this: Ready Meals 2 months ago Hey, don't use those flight control settings, make sure to map it to the the aileron AXIS/ elevator AXIS. Otherwise, it won't recenter and it is a digital input, meaning that it either, for example, goes 100% on the ailerons instead of a analogue control where you can make very slight movements. Make sure to do this for rudder, throttle, ailerons and elevator. I was just about to order a new stick to get it working, was olso considering getting a refound. But now it works perfectly fine :)

Mine is not working at all. Even trying it on my powered USB hub. Is there more I have to do or did I get a DOA product? Woudl be a real shame aince Logetech is one of the very few that make flight sim yokes. Also tried using a 12 volt power adapter after painstakingly finding a DC adapter that fits the unusualy sized DC port on the yoke. Didn't work even then it even wound up shorting out my USB hub trying the 12 volt plug. For the record I did try a 5 volt adapter but that didn't work ether. I get the feeling tis yoke uses a very spicific DC adapter that nobody makes. Also tried installing the proper driver program but it says I need to plug it in even before I can proceed though it is plugged in and was getting some power fron the USB hub ans 12 volt adapter.
@Huddison3 жыл бұрын
Oh dear, that's not good news. Simply plugging the USB in from the Yoke system to your PC should be enough to power it up. Yours might well be DOA unfortunately, if you have no power displayed on the Yoke system after plugging it in the traditional way.
@theatom72643 жыл бұрын
@@Huddison Yeah pretty sure its DOA. Thankfully Amazon makes returns easy. I wish Logitech would just redesign the thing so its not so picky with the power. Great to hear that you decided to buy the yoke system. I found the problem with joystick many have after 3 hours of reading forums and watching all tutorials on joystick setup. Deep down in the comments of one youtube video one said you must make sure X-Axis Z-Axis and Y-Axis it assigned to analog input and not digital. It is pretty much impossible to get them all right in the first try since it does not say what is analog and digital... I did just follow a screenshot how do do it right and it fixed all the joystick problems with my old Logitech Force Feedback 3d. *** Original post *** :Joystick control in FS2020 is totally and utterly fucked up on most sticks on the market and the sensitivity setting do not work, it just make input lag larger... Lot of people complaining about exactly the same problem since FS2020 came out and nothing has been done to fix it. . .. .. . .. .

Lots of good points. I do believe that Asobo are slowly refining the way yokes and joysticks behave/react in the sim (the last few patches reflect this). But you are right, they still have a long way to go, until it reaches the precision of something like X-Plane.

I’ve got a MAJOR problem with this yoke in MFS2020. The axis for roll is centered but any input left or right sends the axis completely to 0 or maxed out. The pitch axis is not centered, and when the yoke is in resting position it says the pitch is maxed out. If I try to pull up the axis does nothing, but if I push with even the slightest input, the axis immediately shoots to zero. My throttle quadrant works fine and so do my rudder pedals and console controller. I tried sensitivity... nothing. I tried to calibrate the yoke with the software built into my computer and the yoke works just fine there. It’s something with the translation to MSFS2020 that’s messed up. I tried going to the subreddit and the forums and the best answer those smoothbrains could come up with is sensitivity, which isn’t the answer, because it’s the axis detection itself. I’ve searched everywhere for an answer to this and found nothing. Somebody please help me for the love of god.

Hmm that's a strange one - I would try a different USB port on your PC and then, if that doesn't work, reassign the axis's.

Another thing that I would try is ensuring that you have the correct profile selected for your yoke, assuming that you have made more than 1 profile (in options). Or even, create a new profile and see if your axis work with that.
