Blackbox, your tutorials have helped me out a lot! I now know how to fully fly the A320! Now all I’m doing is watching all of your videos over and over again to remember every single detail. Now I know the A320 cockpit and fuselage as well as my own pocket! I’m right now waiting for the FlightSimLabs A320-X being released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020! Cheers!

I always use the THreshold as a FIX (fe LSZH14) and then draw a radial. But awesome to see a new technique for that. Cheers

By taking the FAP fix you also have a visual clue where the descent point is.

Blackbox711 thats true. But you could still add that manually (if its a waypoint). If its a DME you could draw a radius ? Right?

Blackbox As usual superb and efficient. Your videos are the ultimate Airbus tutorials. Period. Question for you - An Airbus driver tried to explain to me the importance of the fix you choose to extend off on an ILS as being relevant to proper missed approach waypoint sequencing - he suggested as a technique you always extend off of the fix immediately preceding the Final App Fix. Suggesting if you don’t and you pick a fix closer in - such as the FAF- that if you go missed and ATC tells you to fly the published MAP- you should go into NAV lateral mode and the box will send you direct to the last waypoint within 5 miles and may not send you to the proper map waypoint first fix -Can you explain this better so I can understand it? According to him it will happen to you if you somehow pick a fix too close in or too far out to extend off of. Many Thanks !

Hi, I'd like to know the timing to initiate a turn. Example, I'm following a VOR course 354° for a visual approach at LFMN and I need to turn right onto the runway with an inbound course 43°. I can determine the bank angle and time necessary for the turn but how woulld I know when to initiate the turn?

Hi, Now with the extended centerline in the MCDU. - Are there any handrules in relation to turn radius for the intercept? - Is it possible to get the L/R X.X nm indications as well showing how far off the extended C/L you are? BR Stephen Odgaard

Hi. There are some rule of thumb regarding turn radius depending on your ground speed.

Hallo Blackbox711 Könntest du eventuell mal zeigen, wie man eine visual departure fliegt? Ich habe vor kurzem aus LOWI die KOGOL4H SID bekommen und die SID gab es nicht in FMC. Das heißt ich musste diese Route selber programmieren. Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob ich es richtig gemacht habe und würde gerne sehen, wie es ein Profi macht :). Über visual departure finde ich auch keine Videos. Ich habe versucht die SID mit Hilfe von Fix Info Punkte über die VOR's und NDB's auf dem Display darzustellen, glaube aber das es auch über wegpunkte geht. Ich freue mich über deine Hilfe :)

Hi. Eine Visual Departure wird in IFR eigentlich nicht gemacht. Wenn der Abflug nicht im FMC hinterlegt ist muss man sich anhand der VOR/DME oder NDB Signale orientieren.
