Brand New Frontier A320neo takeoff from Denver! | FFT124

Got lucky enough to ride on one of Frontier's brand new A320neo's to Dallas on 1/19/17. This aircraft is N304FR and was delivered on 12/14/16. Barely a month old! Landing in Dallas, and other videos are on the way!

I was spotting at my airport and waited an hour to see a 787 take off... I was disappointed that it was so quiet! This engine has an even higher bypass ratio. Amazingly quiet!

Wow that is super quiet for a narrowbody, strange seeing a 320 without the distinctive "CFM Howl". Now here is to hoping JetBlue gets some soon (so we can fly them without the misery of Spirit or Frontier).

Yes, surprisingly quiet!. I don't agree with you on the misery of Frontier though haha. Not as nice as JB, but I've flown with them for years, always on time for me, friendly crew, cramped but for the dirt cheap price well worth the journey, at least on flights less than 4 hours. I fly with them all the time, and even since the ULCC transition, I haven't had a single bad experience. But to each their own I guess haha. Thanks for watching.

I think it is just the nickel and dime ULCC part that turns me off to them. I still much prefer JB or SW if I fly on a LCC. Spirit is pretty much the worlds worst airline aside from a few really bad carriers in places like Sudan. Still kinda miffed that United and American are going the route of Spirit and Frontier of charging for your carry-on :(

Yeah, I can understand that point of view. I'm just often on a budget and packing really light so carry-on fees aren't that much of an issue. If I just need to get from A to B, the price is worth it for me most of the time. That and I can only go 3 places combined aboard jetBlue and Virgin America from Denver. It really is too bad the direction economy class is going.

On the bright side it does look like Delta is shying away from that route. I flew them the last time I flew out of Denver and it was quite nice, though my wife and I got incredibly lucky and found business class tickets on sale for only a bit more than economy.

However, the Frontier A320neo still has CFM engines, the LEAP-1A. You can faintly hear the very distinct whine of the LEAP engine on full power at takeoff.
