The extreme reverence shown in the consecration is very moving to me. I wish all priests would show this due reverence. For this reason (among many other reasons), I an 18 year old boy going to college am seriously discerning the priesthood, and am seriously looking into becoming a priest within FSSP. As of right now, I cannot see myself being anything but a priest, but nevertheless I will go through extensive prayer to discern for what God is calling me.

If you going into Priesthood it's essential you understand the Mass. The First prayer Introibo ad altar Deum I will go onto the altar of God to God Who gives joy to my youth " psalm 42 what's happening It is God the Son conversing with God the Father in eternity about His Passover in time. Psalm 2 is the Father to the Son. The Lamb had to be without spot or wrinkle that prayer is said too. Jesus and His Apostles attended the Temple on the night of Jewish Passover these Passover prayers that were said were about His death and are Perpetual The Gentiles received these Passover prayers from the Apostles This Priesthood goes back to Melchizedek an eternal priesthood. These Prayers are perpetual until end of time and can't be abandoned. The Gentiles prayers can be altered. The Jews said "We have no King but Caesar" under a valid Pope they will go but with this Jewish Passover worship. The Jews had true worship. Lefebvre, Castro Meyer and another are right. No Pope will ever change Calvary.

There is a young adult group called "Juventutem" (from the Introit: "Introibo ad altare Dei. Ad Deum qui lætifcat iuventutem meam." "I will go unto the altar of God. To God the joy of my youth.") whose aim is to introduce more young people to and to foster devotion to the Traditional Latin Mass. There is another group, the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest that also uses the Extraordinary Form exclusively.

That is psalm 42 and it is the conversation of God the Son with God the Father in eternity. The Son is talking about His death in time. It is one of the Jewish Passover prayers that were said in the Temple and Jesus listened to these Passover prayers that were about Him. These Prayers are perpetual until end of time. Long live SSPX.

If you are called to priesthood, nothing else will satisfy. I felt called to be a priest but God called me to marriage and I couldn't be happier. There are similarities. Making "extensive prayer" is much like making time for guidance in a marriage. God will guide you. I have wondered what it may have been like, I do not regret at all God's direction to marry and have children. If you are called to be a priest, you may wonder what marriage is like, but you won't regret the calling at all. :-)

Only in novus ordo mass the priest rest the host in the paten. In latin mass, the priest rest it in the corporal and puts the paten under it.

At Solemn Masses the Prest blesses the incense saying the following prayers: PER INTERCESSIONEM BEATI Michaelis ArchAngeli stantis a Dextrus Altaris incensi Et omnium Electorum suorum incensum stud dignetur Dominus bene+dicere Et in odorem suavitatis accipere. Per Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen. MAY the Lord by the intercession of the blessed Michael the ArchAngel who standeth at the right side of the Altar f perfumes and of all His Elect vouchsafe to bless + this incense and receive it as an odor of sweetness ; through Christ our Lord. Both are relevant, in my opinion and both should be appreciated for what they are. Just remember that Catholics of my parents generation felt like that about the Latin Mass and were happy when the Mass was said in the vernacular. They felt excluded from the Mass. My Mother was a convert from the Methodist church and she thought she had entered some strange secret society upon becoming Catholic. Personally I have never attended a Latin Mass but that is about to change in a couple of weeks when my local Cathedral has a Latin Mass to celebrate the centenary of our high altar. I can't wait. I believe both should be offered, if there are priests available to offer the Latin.

Esteban Martinez no. If you actually go to a traditional latin mass, you will find the exact opposite of the priest being the center of attention. It feels like the whole congregation is focused on the sacrifice that is being done, the sacrifice of Calvary reenacted, actually happening all over again in every mass being offered.
