I loved how beautiful the plane was as an airliner fan but was unlucky with the flying as I hardly could get it to fly, the plane now has many bruises, cuts and a wrecked nose :/

Hi Ironmover - it got of the ground a lot quicker than I thought it would, don't think it would takeoff from grass on rough stuff, or longer grass, I love this little think, Zoom Zoom - Maiden+1 I will try to slow it down a little.. Cheers Martyn

Hi Jon, and thanks to your efforts I could Take off from the grass - it was really smooth... it was FAST..I think I slow it down a little in the maiden+1.... Cheers - I waved at your better half the other day as she drove the car to the parking area at the field- she came down to the field to walk the dog and I thought it was you ..LOL.... Cheers Martyn

Hi Sean - it was fine, looked a lot worse than it was, guess that's why we have maidens to see what happens and learn - lets hope the maiden+1 is incident free... Oh and it is a super little aircraft - fun to fly and FAST ... Cheers Martyn

And it was all going so well......until the landing. It really is a speedy demon! Good to see a safe take off with those nacelles! Wonder what a hand launch would look like! I need to maiden mine before the grass gets too long! Thanks Martyn.

Hi Paul, That landing was strange ?? - the nacelles are very close to the ground, I would think a bump at the wrong time could see a bit of damage, I don't think I want to risk a hand launch just yet with it, might do one after I have flown it a while to see what happens... Cheers Martyn

Great maiden flight Martyn, she is very fast and ive seen worse landings and she suffered no damage, hope the next landing will be better.....jeff.

Hi Jeff - oh yes a speed demon for sure this one, problem is although it looks wrong at speed its so easy to get there ..LOL.. yer the landing was strange - still no damage so I class it as a good one ..LOL.. Cheers Martyn

It was a great maiden, loved it.. loads of power, and oh yes it is fast, strange landing but I expect I will get use to it.. Cheers Martyn

Got my Twinliner in the air today. Had to hand launch as our grass was too long. Flying on a 1300 3s rather than a heavy 4s, the hand launch was ok, just, but no head wind so a bit marginal. A 3 1/2 minute flight at half throttle where she flies at quite a scale speed thanks to the reduced wing loading. I'll be adding split flaps to reduce the landing speed further. Bigger diameter wheels will help grass ops so thats on my list of mods too !

Catherine how did the hand launch go ?? - I got you message about the battery size and have found a few lighter 4S packs I am going to try, good luck with the modification.. let us know who it all goes, Cheers Martyn

@@FlankerTanker I must create my own youtube account rather than use the wife's all the time ! Hand launch was ok but on that day there was no head wind so it was a bit marginal. Launching into a bit of a breeze would help especially on 3s. I would imagine a hand launch on a 4s lipo would be no problem at all ( apart from the extra weight ! ) Cheers Paul !

a rough first landing is understandable seeing how you're getting use to her Martyn but you do lose track of her against the white of clouds on the video!

Hi Keith - yes its the camera I think , but the sky did make it a bit of a challenge even for me tracking it all the time as the Pilot, given we have quite a lot of Grey sky here in the UK, I will leave it white for know and see how I get on.. Cheers Martyn
