Messi was the best player of that game. But I am not sure how tha performance has become synonymous to Messi's greatest and not the 4-goal fest vs Arsenal in 2010 or the SF vs Bayern in 2015? Easily better performances that defied Messi more. Especially that performance vs Arsenal was the end of the previous era and the start of many thinking Messi as a GOAT candidate by 22 years old.
