FTM: 16 weeks post-op - How I feel

I’ve heard about this happening outside of the United States. Not with just the trans community but also woman who’ve been wanting to resize their best end up getting botched up.

yeah I wouldn't go so far to say that many of us were or are getting botched. it's a risk we all know about before. at least our health insurance system pays for everything. and right now I am not sure if I would have wanted nipples for an additional 5 or $10,000 or even more (if I would have been in the US e.g.) LOL

I truly hope this all will click on with time ! Try working out and gaining some muscles as soon as you can; that will not only help you with passing again, but should make you feel so much better !! 😘.

Maybe this will help a tiny bit... It takes 9 mos for a person to form, so maybe 4 mos it’s just 4 mos and there is still some formation that is happening for your ‘new’ body to become real, feel real or normal to you. Being healed will surely help and you are well on your way to 100%. I know it’s easier said than done but try to be positive and hang in there. It’s hard, I get that, but nothing worth a damn is ever easy. Oh and also...if you feel like you wanna get out and see friends, do it. If it stresses you out too much then don’t but whatever you do, pay no mind to whatever strangers may or may not be thinking or saying. They matter not!

I’m a CIS woman that has had a mastectomy and hysterectomy for medical reasons. They are brutal. Your brave for making choices that feel right for you. Also nipples can be tattooed, convincingly.

thank you so much! yes, it was the hardest time in my life. and it took me a long time to fully recover. maybe next year I will get some nipple /scar tattooing. for now I am okay with it.

What Dr approved for you to have a hysto and top surgery at the same time? Glad you're healing, but this double surgery at the same time is a horrible idea!

It's quite common in Northern Germany. The surgeon is great - he knows, what he is doing! You gotta see it this way: If you have to pay for your living etc, it's more then enough to miss some weeks of work, because you have ONE surgery! And 2nd: you only have this one time, where you get anesthetics, one time you have to deal with the pain. Done. Was is hard? Hell, YES! Would I ever do it again? Not even for money! Would I recommend it? It depends on the person. Greetz, Toby
