Honestly I wouldn't rely on the computer. You need to measure how many liters go into your tank when fueling up, then divide your total km by the amount. That would be most accurate. I doubt you really would get like 1lt/20km or anything close. You might very well get 1lt/16-18km.

This video perfectly sums up the disaster of gasser engines. And when they say that they consume "1L more". Don't forget you will have almost 100hp with golf at everyday RPM (~2000) (but with 1.0 TSI you will drive on 20-40 hp in reality, maybe 50hp so forget max 110hp which you will never reach. Advertising trick. 9L at 160km/h LOL.

the golf 7 tdi has been bulit proof, providing your life isn't around town at city speed all the time I wouldn't recommend dute to the particulate filter being clogged but if your on a long commute in-between city's the diesel is a no brainer, I often get 62 mpg at 65mpg 590 mile range. as good as the 1.0 litre engine is its just too small and slow for everyday, I would recommend the 1.5 or 1.4 phev if your a city dweller with a charge slot on your drive, your save a fortune

Don't forget that diesel will get to 2/3 of his power almost instantly (somewhere around max torque). Forget about that 110hp in 1.0 TSI. A lot of times you will drive on 20-30hp unless you will be reving it to the redline which you will not (lots of noise)
@XxXxXCRV2 ай бұрын
The power of the 1.0 Engine is okay above 1500rpm. It needs a lot of time to get turbo pressure. Then 200nm of torque is enough at least in the Seat Ibiza. Above 5500rpm it don’t really want to rev higher. So the characteristics is not as you expect it.
@Marko-tv3sw2 ай бұрын
@@XxXxXCRV yeah I know... turbo fixed it a little. Still i miss the power in these everyday gassers. Only when pushed. But I want it everyday at low rpms to be responsive. Then you must press and it is too loud (rpms). Not to mention they are way thirstier then diesels when you do that so bye-bye fuel consumption. Diesels are way more forgiving in that category, if for some reason you decide to push something that doesn't need pushing. Overtaking, for fun of whatever.

I have seat toledo with 1.0tsi. The consumption is the same as the one calculated when I fill it up. But we can not compare a diesel and a petrol one. The gearboxes are different, the diesel runs at lower rpms because of the longer gears. I manage to do 2,2l/100km with my 1.0tsi. A correct test would be to run this engines at the same rpms and see the consumption.

Yes, diesel is more efficient on highway (not in town), but it sounds like a garbage and smells terribly, also it's more expensive per litre where I live, so they are similar and I would take 1.5 eTSI 150PS anyway (+stage 1 would give me almost 200PS + better efficiency).

Idk how you people complain about the diesel smell.They are not tractors they have tons of anti polution system I bet you cant smell shit....also they need to actually be broken burn rich or oil to actually smell something.Burnt gas smells far worse I would rather cry and get cancer from diesel smoke.I ve stayed in traffic behind many gas and diesel cars and I can tell you that regular cars like this smell like nothing at all.The shitty gasoline smell(burnt skin smell) i can only feel it when i m staying behind a sports car with a big engine and no opf that also gives some smoke under heavy acceleration

In this test diesel was shown quite well exegerately, but in real life, 2.0 diesel is a dream for 2.7 liters.4.5 liter around maybe realistic only possible downhill 2.7 liter/100km. Even the VW Lupo 1.2 diesel burns 3 liters, which is much lighter and smaller in volume and pretty efficient engine. It is obvious that the 1.0 gasoline engine is driven on completely different roads. Those 2 cars are defienetely had been driven in different road conditions. At the same time, the 1.0 TSI can go down to 3.5 liters in different reviews, and these figures are not even approached in the video. I think if the road conditions were the same, gasoline engune would consume gas as little as a diesel.
