If you don't like the instax mini shape, really really try instax wide! The wide Film is not that expensive (cheaper than square) and it's just such a nice format. I used to have the same issue with instax and I am so in love with my instax wide 300!!!

I can confirm - the instax wide 300 is incredible. Yes, it is limited in features. But the print shape and size is great, and its always a vibe to have around other people.

Claudio Cast The idea that Fuji film is superior is only an opinion. The current Polaroid is excellent. The two films are different and it’s a matter of taste as to which people prefer.

I want to grow by exploring, appreciating and treasuring all the moments of my life. I badly want to have an instant camera but as of now, my parents won't allow me because its too expensive. Its so nice to look back and remember how we choose to fight and be happy in life. Instax camera will always have special place in my heart. totally agree. I have the instax 90 classic. I bought it over the wide and even the polaroid because of its classic look, but I too wish the film was traditional polaroid size.

I quite like the shutter release on the one side. Maybe I'm just used to 35mm, but everytime I've shot Instax mini I shoot it in landscape. Portrait still has it's use cases so it's nice that it has two shutter buttons.

I read an article about Polariod that says in its glory days, the shape and size of the units are views odd and weird. Just like the instaxs of today :) Also, think about it, what if Fuji released all their instaxs in safe, square, normal looking design -- that'd be boring. Let's all embrace their weirdness!!

Fujifilm does make an instax wide and instax square! Instax square is identical to original polaroids 😁

I totally get what you mean when you think the shape is different because I’m very much into antique or just old things you don’t see anymore. And i actually did consider have a Polaroid camera but as much as i love the size , shape and look of it its to big for me ( my family thinks I’m bring a lot of things so they limit me by giving me… a smaller bag .

It is - except horizontal images look kind of awkward with Instant Photography due to the tab being on the side

Great review! Do you prefer shooting with your left eye? That's not very common. That might be why you're confused about the shutter button placement? The shutter on the front doesn't make much sense to me. Am I supposed to mash my face sideways against the back of the camera? At least with the more standard side/top shutter, there is a place for the person's nose to go. The Wide 300 makes way more sense.

There's two shutter buttons, one on the side and one on the front. The front shutter is meant to make taking selfies easier

personally I quite like that it's just analogue, though if you're curious I believe Fuji makes an Instax printer that allows you to print digital image onto their Instax film

Check out the LiPlay mini or SQ20. Both save the shots to SD and let you choose what you print.

You can scan them at any camera store if you have any photos you want to digitize. Also, I’m pretty sure you can use a regular printer scanner to do it. Or even just take a good photo of it and crop it nicely

Thans for making the video. I only have a polaroid 600 and sx 70 but my pics stay good even after a long time. I just miss the manuaal focus of at least decent focus on fuji. I could buy this for 40euro with a pack of film.

I haven't shot with a mini LiPlay but personally I'm not much a fan of shooting digitally and then printing it on instant film, I think it's a bit silly - I much prefer the approach of the mini 90

The choice is mostly aesthetic - though the mini 90 neo has a few more menu functions - which leaves room for more experimentation. I’d personally choose the Mini 90 neo over the Mini 11. Thought it’s really a matter of what you’d like
